Blackwood Golf Club

Got to give this course 5*, the course is very well maintained to a very high standard, no matter when you play, summer or winter the fairways and greens are always in top condition. The last few occasions I've played here, pace of play has never been a problem as I've never been held up for anyone playing slow.

The only downside is it's a 9 hole course / 18, so paying £20 to play 18 holes of the same green plus the tee box's are close together so it really don't Warrent it being 18 holes for the price, I would say around £12 / £15 would be more reasonable priced as you play the same greens going out has to coming in and that's the only downside to such a well maintained course which again he kept to a very high standard.

Nice golf course, fairways in good condition but greens were a little bobbly. On a whole a really nice course. Weather was lovely and had a really enjoyable round. Some really nice holes with some difficulty, will definitely be coming back.

The mats are the softest to play off, you don't shock your shoulders. Every hole is different. Try reading greens 4 & 9? They are tricky. There's always a course guy litter picking, hedge trimming, removing debris off the course. They are manicuring the fairways and greens constantly, but they don't interfere with play.

Hit and miss at most courses during winter months, but Blackwood course in nice condition and greens in great condition and although recently spiked played really well.

Course has one or two slope’s but probably why it drains so well.

A must visit for a few hours of winter golf.

Even in the rain this course is a joy, be it a challenging one. Greens were in perfect condition and the fairways nice and firm. I will be back soon ⛳️

Booked tee off time online very easy , only moan I suppose and its not that bad is there was nobody there to give us a course card , later found out their kept in a post box . Other than that 10 / 10 . Thank's loved our game

Lovely little 9 hole course and the greens were amazing. If any slight criticism there was no pro shop and no one to check in with, no par 5’s and a lot of holes cross over each other.

Highly recommend this course. Played on my own and was kindly greeted to course and offered inside knowledge. Pace of play was very good and the course was in exceptional condition. Will return to play again as I live locally!!

This is a great place which is a great layout and very well maintained, excellent value for money and will definitely be looking at hopefully becoming a member there

Great course which keeps you thinking, great staff and very friendly members. I went and started on my own and joined in to finish off with 3 members and one being the captain of the men’s and had a great laugh and game very much appreciated and many thanks to Gary (Gareth), gareth number 2 and Eddie

Layout is bizarre as you play the same holes over and over .

The guy who was running it was really pleasant and helped us out at the beginning but some of the locals were pretty stuck up and telling us how to repair divets (although we’re experienced players)

Overall nice few hours out and about

But will not be returning

I’ve lived locally for years but only just tried out this course. Really well presented and the greens were excellent.

It’s a tough start with a few 450 yard par 4s but there is plenty of character throughout and a couple of really gorgeous looking holes.

. There are separate tee positions for the back 9. This will now be my go to course. Little gem!!

Good for the money, but only 9 holes with different tees on back nine leads to interrupted play on times. Staff and patrons very pleasant and will attend again.

It’s a lovely course but sadly is let down by some of the clubs members being rude and stuck up...
