Great course greens in very good condition great day out

Great course, played a few times, never disappointed, despite wet weather course very good, greens excellent 2. Will deffo be back

Second time playing this course, first one was a boiling day in the summer.

Today was definitely different weather wise. Course was in decent condition considering rain although two holes were shut.

Some great advice from the club pro to start on the back nine (I was playing solo) and the senior society would be slow in front. Unfortunately I played the back nonce and still caught up with a group playing really slow and refused to let me through. Even stopping for some tea and sandwiches! Luckily I met some members who showed me a shortcut to leapfrog the slowcoaches and I played part of the back 9 with them and they were great company!

Overall a great course and enjoyed playing it again but another day of slow play (maybe bad luck) but not as bad as summer day where I spent almost a full 9 holes behind a foursome who refused to let me through

I like Wenvoe GC it has a nice mix of holes. It’s quite different playing it in the winter, I feel it’s a little easier and more generous off the tee. Pace of play was a little slow but it was a pleasant afternoon. Green pace is a tad inconsistent but not dramatically so. Would recommend 😊

Course was in fantastic condition of this time of year. Can’t wait to play there again!

A course which has been well maintained after an indifferent summer and recent poor weather. The greens were superb for this time of year.

The winter mats are superb and probably the best I’ve played off.

A challenging course although fair.

Together with two friends ( ages ,66 and 62) we walked using our electric trolleys.

The course is hilly and a good walk with some good climbs and descents.

Would certainly recommend as a winter course.

First time playing the course and given the weather earlier in the week then course was in fantastic condition. Greens were excellent. Really enjoyed the course with some nice variations in holes. Looking forward to playing there again.

Wenvoe castle golf course shines as an example of what every golf club could and should be like.

Jason the club professional is a friendly and welcoming character, even offering us the opportunity to tee off early not to get caught up in any large groups.

The course itself was in great condition and is a mixture of interesting and challenging holes with plenty of variation, we noticed that all the members we spoke to were very helpful and friendly to us as guests.

At the clubhouse it was more of the same with the bar staff and chef taking the time to ask if we had enjoyed our round here, excellent selection of reasonably priced drinks are available from the bar (which also has a pool table) and lovely home cooked food is available, on a nice day a terrace with sun shades overlooking 3 holes from the back 9 is a great place to enjoy a drink or food.

Amenities usually only seen at country clubs such as compressed air to clean off your gear post round and changing rooms are a handy to have luxury!

I would highly recommend taking the time to visit Wenvoe Castle Golf Club!

Drive past the course everyday and while I had a free day though why not at the price on GolfNow.

Course didn’t disappoint, not what I’m used to but the tees fairways and greens were in great condition. A challenge for me as I haven’t been playing long and not used to the ball being below and above my feet. Enjoyed the challenge and the day however, helped with glorious sunshine (even a little too warm as the Brits say).

All in all a great course and a welcome cider in the sun post 18. Highly recommended

Good layout with spectacular views. Tricky greens. Standout hole was the downhill 8th. This was course number 491 for me.

A lovely course which I enjoy playing, only gave a average score for staff friendliness as I did not see anyone

Challenging course for all handicappers.

A couple of holes at the turn seem to loose their way and need a bit of work, but after that the course is outstanding.

Great views, great fairways, and a nice clubhouse patio in the sun. Great value for money and definitely worth a visit.

A warm welcome by staff. Course layout was very easy to follow. A buggy is very recommended as it is quite hilly.

The course was in beautiful condition, even the first cut of rough was forgiving. The greens were a joy to putt on.

A cold pint of Stowford Press, outside on the balcony was the perfect way to sit and watch golfers playing the 18th.

The course was in fantastic condition. Nice to be playing off the summer tees again.
