About

The Aquila Golf Course facility offers two golf courses; one is a championship length course while the other is a par-3, nine-hole course. The championship course provides an excellent game of golf for an affordable price. There are scenic views of mountains and downtown Phoenix as well as a challenging layout featuring several water hazards and bunkers. Although the terrain is rather hilly, it is still relatively walkable. The course has an excellent range of holes that each have a unique character, the par 5's are especially notable. Native grasses and wildflowers are also present on Aquila's Championship course, further adding to its natural beauty.

Very nice

The course was in really good shape for being in the 100 degree plus time of year. The greens held really well and rolled pretty true. Fairways were nice as well. The pace of play was almost perfect, we had to wait a few times, way less than typical.

A great day and great value

I got a great deal thru GN. We played the silver tees which gets out to roughly 6300 yards. There were several par 4's over 400 yards. The greens had been punched so scoring was tougher. I would definitely play it again. The staff was friendly

Great Muni Course in South Phoenix

I love this course. It has something for everyone with 4 tee boxes, great practice areas and always seems to be in great condition. I played a day after a big monsoon storm at 10 AM and found all traps raked and dry, no debris on course, and no standing water. They do a great job there. Highly recommend!

Rarely a bad experience

I booked at Aguila because it rarely disappoints. This is a great course and somewhat of a hidden GEM in the phoenix valley. I play this course about 5x a year and its always in some of the best shape compared to other courses. The Value and the challenge of the course are why I continue to play here. The Tee boxes are well manicured, The fairways were rather lush for the time of year, and I would compare the greens to a few other top notch courses.
