Fantastic
The course is in excellent shape. Greens were faster today than a few weeks ago. Fairways are plush and green, no weeds. This is the best time of the year to play in the FL Panhandle and both the Pines and Oaks courses are in very good to excellent condition.
too wet to play
we made this tee time 3 days ago and weather was supposed to be sunny.....this was a pretty bad golf day...... I could not cancel because the course was not closed. Tropical storm on the way and we knew we could not cancel but the policy is..... if course is open you cant cancel. So we played. This rule definitely needs to be changed ! I"ll not make advance tee times again.
Poa creeping in on the greens
Need to nip it in the bud. Otherwise a nice place to play
course will be better in time
My only real complaints are the greens had been recently punched and top dressed so some greens were very bumpy and slow while others had very quick spots making putting and holding greens on approach shots difficult. I had to hit low pitches and let the ball run up. Also, tee direction markers could be better. Got lost on a couple of holes. Next time I play here, it will not be a problem
nice course, good food
the front nine was pretty wet but once the rain totally stopped it was really nice playing the back nine. After play we decided on lunch..... club sandwich and fries. Staff was friendly and food was very good.
Every Sunday
This is the course my wife and I play every Sunday and we’re never disappointed just wish it was a little cooler today was pretty hot but all in all we just had a good time pace of play there was no one in front of us we hardly had to wait then we decided to eat a fruit salad and that topped off a great day
Rally nice layout
Tee boxes, fairways, and green collars were good but greens not so much. The greens had been aerated recently and were not much to look at.
Great place for young players
Played with 2 young players and courtesy of all was great with patience of others on the course and staff.
Good value on Pines
Played 18 on the pines. Staff super accommodating. Course wide open with little water. Greens bumpy and slow, but for a municipal course pretty good overall.
Great course
Course was in good shape overall. Some patches on a few greens but nothing bad. Fairways were nicely cut. Rough was workable. I liked the openness. Played with my son-in-law who is new to the game so he was able to enjoy himself when he’d go a little right or left.
