Fun Course
My Son and I have played the Oaks before and it was first time playing it's sister course the Pines. Overall we had fun. The staff were very nice. The weather was excellent. The greens were not in very good condition but it is early spring.
We will definitely go back in the future.
No grass!!!
Virtually no grass on the fairways or greens, basically playing off of bare dirt.
Fun course to play
Always like playing the two courses at Fort Walton . The Pine's greens were in poor shape as well as the Oaks this time of year ,but still one of my favorites .Price is little high if you don't get tee time on Golf Now. Play it if you have a middle handicap.
Good Potential
Third February in a row we have come to play these two courses and all three years the same.....no overseed on greens or fairways! Very sparse and not enjoyable, will skip next year unless we hear of changes.
Not up to par as last year
Course wasn't in very good condition. Will not go back.
course was enjoyable
fairways were great/ tee boxes in great shape/ greens needed some help but we remembered it was off season. they were playable just not up good play
Grear FL course
Great course in good condition. A bit long due to no roll out. What you see is what you get. Super friendly staff and a nice restaurant. Even had a cart girl on Wed afternoon with $3 Bud. Will definitely be back to try out the Oaks course
Nice lay out
Played the pines. Very open and in good shape. Only issue was the greens were very slow.
Course great cocdition
Always play the pine and oaks courses when come down from Kentucky you can't beat the deal the deals that golf now offers for these two wonderful courses.
Good for a quick round!
Played first thing in the morning and was done in just over 3 hours. Played the Pines the first day and Oaks the next day. The second day I was done in under 3 hours. Both courses are challenging. Oaks is tighter with smaller greens. Pines is more forgiving but longer. Both courses were recently aerated but still in decent shape. Great place to play if you want to play early and get done quick. Will definitely play again.
Eric Simpson
Nice little track and layout that was well worth the price to play. Course reminded me of state park back home that closed down.
Good option
Expectations were pretty low based on price. I was pleasantly surprised. It's a great value for the money. We played the Pines course. Tee to green not very challenging. Greens were difficult due to speed. Very slow!
Staff was nice. ProShop is huge. Definitely will play it again.
FWB PINES COURSE
Staff was very friendly when we checked in! Course was in very good shape. Greens are improving! Enjoyed the round!
Fun course
Fun course to play and really open. Greens would hold a ball and putted pretty true. Friendly staff and good pace of play. Played a lot of courses around Destin and for the price this is by far the best. If you want a good course without paying a lot I would recommend the Pines course for basic to intermediate players.
Course under repair
The pines course was full so they recommended the oaks course. It was scarcely populated due to greens being repaired. I finished 18 holes in 2 hours but 70% of the hole you couldn't get a true putt or read.
Once the grass comes back on fairway it will be a great course
Course was aereated and was little inconvenient with the plugs all over the fairway.
Course has great lay out
Course lay out was good the only thing less than great were the greens. Greens were extremely slow just maybe due to overseeing and allowing grow in time
