Corte Bella Golf Club

I'm 77 yrs of age and usually shoot or beat my age each year (have for last 4 years). Have not yet done so on this course but believe I can. Has tee options for every skill level. Forgiving fairways and a nice layout with plenty of traps (I know cause I got into 4 of them last round) but there is sand in them unlike many of the Phoenix valley courses. It's my kind of layout and more like the courses I played in the midwest.

Excellent hot deal! Condition of course was excellent. Water station great.

The course rewards you for good shots. A lot of bunkers but with accurate shots, they don't hurt you.

i have played here several times and after each time i wonder why don't i play here more often.? nice layout and even with recently aerated greens they weren't that bad. fairways in good shape especially for mid summer in AZ. the staff is friendly
so with a good staff, nice layout, good fairways and decent greens, there are no complaints. will definitely be back

Aerated and sanded greens. Sprinklers were out of control on the driving range, requiring you to change location every 5 or 6 swings. Chipping area was a dirt "green". Wide open fairways and huge greens. Not very interesting layout.

Collared shirt? Understandable...

Demand your shirt to be tucked in? An example why I hadn't started golf earlier in my life.

It was fairly easy to get on during summer play. The greens were in reasonably good condition and the fairways were in really good shape. I found the layout interesting, but not especially challenging. I'm a 13. The 2 fellows I was paired with were extremely cordial, as was the staff. I lost a ball in the signature hole as it hit the green but rolled down into the drink. The value was outstanding.

Course is long for seniors with a multitude of bunkers, friendly staff, great course conditions.

Playing Corte Bella was an enjoyable experience. The staff was friendly and professional; the golf course was in very good condition, and the course design made for an interesting round of golf. The greens and tee boxes were in excellent condition and the course is heavily bunkered. The sand in the bunkers is consistent and evenly distributed, something that has been lacking on many of the courses I play in the West Valley. I enjoyed the round and will definitely be back.

Played this course for the first time today. Had high expectations since it is managed by Troon. Overall the course is good, greens in nice shape and we played it in 4 hours which is fantastic for a Sunday afternoon.

Only real issue with the course itself is just new sand is needed in many of the bunkers - many of them were hard as concrete.

The bigger issues are with the amenities. No beverage cart, no food "ready to go" - had to wait 10 mins for sandwiches to be made, no on course Marshall. Also confusion over green fees when booking the tee time. The pro shop quoted me a rate $10 higher than their own web site - blamed it on Golf.now buying the tee times however it wasn't on the golf.now site.

Otherwise a course I would play again. Just make sure you pack your own beverages and foods since it is not easy to to so on the course.

This course is well-maintained, with nice fairways and beautiful landscaping through this retirement community. Landing areas off the tee are generous, with large, undulating greens. Greens were a little spotty in places, but plenty quick and relatively smooth. Great value!

Very nice course! Keep it in the fairway and you'll score very well! Played the black/white composite tees and that was a great mix of difficult and fair.

Course in condition. Staff was great. They deliver your food to you on the course. Slow play though.

First time playing this course and I was pleasantly surprised. The conditions of the course were excellent and it was designed to be challenging if you don't hit it straight. The bunkers were great (meaning the sand was good sand) so you didn't have to worry about rock hard traps. If you stay in the fairways, you can score well. The greens were fast but were true.
There was no beverage cart, but they poured them strong in the clubhouse;).

If a nice day playing golf means more than just a well maintained course and facility to you, then don't bother going to Corte Bella. The course and facilities are great, but the golf experience is very lousy - primarily because of the staff.

They don't have cart service - at all. They don't bother to tell you this, but they do make sure you don't bring your own cooler. We found about about the lack of cart service after surviving the front 9. We went into the clubhouse to get drinks for the back 9. This took 15 minutes due to poor/slow service.

We were then harassed by the course marshal on number 10 because there was an empty hole ahead of us - meanwhile there wasn't anyone behind us for three holes. The place was a ghost town and this guy's harassing us to keep up!

I agree with other posters that Corte Bella hates being semi-private - they don't mind taking your money, but they wish you weren't there and they treat you like it.

They are like a tourist town that needs the tourist's money but can't stand the tourist.

It's a beautiful course and facility, but not worth the hassle. I would never play there again at any price.

The course was beautiful. The weather was wonderful. The staff was friendly, helpful and courteous. Overall, it was a great experience!

I really enjoyed the wide fairways for tee shots but difficult greens to get near pin placements when I played. I liked that I could really hit long to wide fairways... easy to hit from Tees.

Greens where in great shape, faiways ran fast. Lots of sand thru out the course. enjoyed the round at 4 hrs.
