Mountain Vista Golf Club - San Gorgonio Course

Extremely hot which I took into consideration.

Greens slow, some dead spots, appeared to have been punched recently.

Fairways looked to be slit seeded, had to move ball out of slits fairly often.

Staff good.

No driving range on this course, if needed, you can drive down the road to the sister course so leave extra time.

Wide fairways and big greens. Overall in excellent shape except edges of several greens had dead spots.

Course was a blast to play. Wide open huge fairways and no real rough,plus in excellent shape. If you’re looking to enjoy a round of golf without getting beaten up this is a course for you. While quite easy off the tee it still has plenty of demanding second shots and enough water to get your attention. Just a very enjoyable round of golf.

Played 3/3 and they just punched the greens. Bummer

I went as a single and was paired up with Three older people. One of them left after 9 the other 2 left after 14. Then paired up with the 2 some behind me as I was waiting. Course was in good condition, greens very firm and fast but a little browned out. I know it is peak season in Palm Springs area but the prices for golf have gone up significantly. That was the downside. But it is a nice course.

Open fairways, great sand! Greens were dry and short so extremely fast midday. There is no place on the turn to grab a beer - just a vending machine on this course. The Santa Rosa is where the clubhouse is located so that was a bummer. No bev cart out that day. There were vending machines where the restrooms were so thats where we grabbed a drink and filled water. Looks like a fantastic community.

A friend recommended I play this course on my next trip to Palm Springs. I'm glad I did. The course was in fantasic shape. Loved everything about it. Looking forward to playing the sister course Santa Rosa on my next trip. The only negative is that it is a little hard to find and it doesn't look like a pro shop and parking area when you arrive, but it is. Play this course when you are in town.

Fun course, forgiving off the tee with a good chance to score on most holes. Things were in good shape, but I found it tough to figure out the speed of the greens with all the sand on each one. We initially went to the wrong course, so make sure you go past Santa Rosa to get to San Gorgonio (no signage anywhere indicating which course you are at). Everyone in our group would play here again. No range at San Gorgonio.

First time playing the course and it was in great shape, very nice track but didn’t finish due to a group of 5 ahead of me playing very slow.

Cart path only. Beautiful but wow lots of walking. Great day!

Very well maintained track, tricky greens and challenging layout. Would put this up against all the PGA West courses any day. Book it….you wont be disappointed!

Greens are fast but very fun. Course conditions are amazing, and pace of play is excellent mid week. Tge staff and residents are very friendly around here as well. Looking forward to playing here again!!!

Course was immaculate. Not a blade of grass out of place. Not a very tough track but the greens are huuuuge and some are quite undulating. Rough was pretty short too so easy to recover. A good place to go for great conditions at a fair price and you can score pretty well.
