About
Orangebrook Country Club in Hollywood boasts two 18-hole courses, the East and the West. The golf courses are about equal in difficulty but each offers a different set of challenges. The West Course was added over 20 years after the original East Course, which was built in the 1930s. This newer layout has more water hazards and there are also several massive bunkers treacherously lurking about the greensides. The challenging elements are nicely balanced by wide-open, player-friendly fairways and small greens with few breaks. The golf course is overall very forgiving but it offers interesting risk-reward opportunities that will appeal to players of all skill levels. In addition to the two golf courses, Orangebrook C.C. boasts extensive practice facilities that include a spacious lighted driving range with distance markers and a practice bunker.

Always a pleasure
Orangebrook staff is the best I have ever seen. Everyone is friendly and flexible. The east course greens are in great shape. Some of the tee boxes need a little healing but that is very normal for SFl public courses. If you are into walking instead of riding a cart like me there is no better place. I walk 18 on average in 2-2.5 hours.

A return visit to this course
Have not played here in three years. Very good experience again. The starter is the same guy as way back when. Wish I knew his name to give him a " Shout-out" Next time. Pace of was very good. Though the course was not crowded and there was a lot of singles out and about, to include me. The greens are very slow ( my favorite) and only a few had small patches of rough areas. Great course for those with a high handicap. Had a great round until the 18th hole, I counted my total score before 18th tee and the golf gods got me.
Played the West Course, not sure which is better even though I have played both but a few years ago. Worth the price and friendly staff.

Great round
The course is beautiful and really easy to walk. The greens need work. Recently aerated some very shaggy and some with grass missing in spots.

Good Value
Good value considering the price paid and the condition of the course (6600 yds from tips, greens were neat/consistent, not overbooked/steady pace, course wasn’t saturated or too dry). Will play again for sure.

Badly managed
Greens are horrible .5 Players in one group 6 players in another group .Golf are backed up.Women driving on the golf course in private golf cart followed by a kid on a bicycle .Players with out golf clubs.
Orangebrook management get some respect for yourself
and don't just show up for work.

Nice, but….
Pack a weapon, you’ll need it when returning to your car. Dangerous neighborhood despite the fact it’s next door to the police station. I never feel safe there and people have been mugged in the parking lot.
