About
Orangebrook Country Club in Hollywood boasts two 18-hole courses, the East and the West. The golf courses are about equal in difficulty but each offers a different set of challenges. The West Course was added over 20 years after the original East Course, which was built in the 1930s. This newer layout has more water hazards and there are also several massive bunkers treacherously lurking about the greensides. The challenging elements are nicely balanced by wide-open, player-friendly fairways and small greens with few breaks. The golf course is overall very forgiving but it offers interesting risk-reward opportunities that will appeal to players of all skill levels. In addition to the two golf courses, Orangebrook C.C. boasts extensive practice facilities that include a spacious lighted driving range with distance markers and a practice bunker.

Too expensive for the quality
Must play after 2.30 to get a decent price for that course. No balls washers,no sand for the divot,the greens are so,so. I like to play that course because it’s only 5 minutes from my house but it really needs a little more love.

Not great but ok for the cost
I found the greens not that good but they were ok. The fairways and light rough were good. Bunkers were not nice due to stones in them and not great consistency. When I finished play and needed to use the washroom I was unable to find one as the pro shop was closed and the other men's washroom was out of service. I like the layout. Better greens and bunkers would make it a fantastic course.

Slow Play
Pace of play was very slow, they even let out some fivesomes.

Course Lotto
Apparently booking through the app isn’t the way to go here. Had a 240 tee time to play the West course, which is apparently the nicer of the two. I arrive 10 minutes early, no problem picking up my slip in the pro shop. I get to the starter’s desk and he tells me head to 10 on East because the front 9 is closed. After showing him my slip and explaining I’m playing West,, he says I’m not getting out on West for the next 40 minutes to an hour and explains I’ll need to play the other course instead. I remember the days when a tee time meant you teed off at the time you signed up for… on the course you signed up for.
