About
Orangebrook Country Club in Hollywood boasts two 18-hole courses, the East and the West. The golf courses are about equal in difficulty but each offers a different set of challenges. The West Course was added over 20 years after the original East Course, which was built in the 1930s. This newer layout has more water hazards and there are also several massive bunkers treacherously lurking about the greensides. The challenging elements are nicely balanced by wide-open, player-friendly fairways and small greens with few breaks. The golf course is overall very forgiving but it offers interesting risk-reward opportunities that will appeal to players of all skill levels. In addition to the two golf courses, Orangebrook C.C. boasts extensive practice facilities that include a spacious lighted driving range with distance markers and a practice bunker.

Great course for price
Kept in great condition, and for the price it’s a steal. Not many options for food/bev other than the snack bar by pro shop so bring your own for the round.

Challenging from the blues, the West is MUCH improved
Weather was hot, but there is a goof breeze because the two 18s are very open. The fairways on the West are great, especially since it has been raining hard almost every day, and NO standing water. The Greens are really coming along, and pace of play is superb. Staff is friendly, especially the starters.

Good value for the price.
Played here several times and it seems to be hit or miss with the scheduling and pace of play. Conditions are not ideal but decent for a round close to home. Nice little pro shop as well as bar/restaurant.

The west course is prime
On the west, the fairways are terrific, and the greens are solid, approaching fast. They have worked lots, and it shows. Steve, asst magr/pro, is super friendly.

Course conditions have improved greatly.
Course conditions have improved greatly since my last visit. This is definitely a championship venue. The greens were poor but are now in good condition. I look forward to playing this course again soon.

Good for the price
The greens are practically sand, but overall it’s good value for the price.

No Management
Extremely slow play today. Waited on every hole. The two groups in front of us quit on holes 14 and 15. Then we saw the delay.; a group of 10 all playing together with 5 carts. Slowing down the whole course. No ranger ever came out to check. No one separated the group of 10. Even the food cart was missing in action.
This course is in fairly good condition. But a pain in the butt because of poor management.

What do you expect for the price.
This is a great place to play if you want a fun practice round. The course is not Augusta. The greens had recently been punched and are 4-5 different types of color/grass on the same green, and putting on them is basically impossible, because they are different speeds and jump around. So even a perfect putt won't go in. Actually, you are more likely to make a putt out of sheer luck. Close your eyes, you will have a better chance. ;)
But, I can't hate the course. It is a great cheap price to play a full 18 hole course. They are really nice people there, and they go out of their way. They work hard to keep the grass as nice as possible, the ground staff was nice too.
