West at Orangebrook Country Club

About
Orangebrook Country Club in Hollywood boasts two 18-hole courses, the East and the West. The golf courses are about equal in difficulty but each offers a different set of challenges. The West Course was added over 20 years after the original East Course, which was built in the 1930s. This newer layout has more water hazards and there are also several massive bunkers treacherously lurking about the greensides. The challenging elements are nicely balanced by wide-open, player-friendly fairways and small greens with few breaks. The golf course is overall very forgiving but it offers interesting risk-reward opportunities that will appeal to players of all skill levels. In addition to the two golf courses, Orangebrook C.C. boasts extensive practice facilities that include a spacious lighted driving range with distance markers and a practice bunker.

"Wanna finish No. 11? Gotta go thru me!" Photo submitted by dprllm on 03/06/2015
Reasonable price
Played after several days of rain. The fairways were nice but a little soft in some areas. The greens on the other hand were a bit slower than usual but in good condition. For me it’s worth the money if bought through T-Off
East
A little wet from the rain this week. Greens were slow they r growing fast
Great condition
I have played the course before and found it to be not in good condition. However, when I played this time, I found the greens to be in very good condition for the most part and the fairways also in I’d say much better condition than my previous play.
Look for other options
I had made a tee time for the Orangebrook West course. Upon arrival for my tee time, I was told that the East course had overnight flooding due to rain and that all parties who were scheduled to play the East course were moved to the West course, and that the course was delayed an hour+ and that if I played the course, I should expect a 6 hour+ round. I told the starter i wasn't planning on doing that and went back into the proshop to get a refund. When i told the proshop i didn't want to play the course due to the time it would take, they were not very friendly and told me to call Golf Now since I booked on there which was fine...my main issue was when i called GolfNow, they told me that the proshop told them that I checked in and that they could not confirm whether I played or not when i specifically told both of the pro shop attendees that I would not be playing and that I would appreciate them making a note on their end to confirm I was leaving the course. I've played the West course before and it is not worth the price of the tee time anyway. I recommend other golf courses.

Course was in great shape. Greens were better than ever and slow as usual.. All other conditions were very good. Great value for money
