Eco Golf Club
About
Located in Hollywood, Eco Golf Club boasts one of the most beautiful executive courses in south Florida. The course offers the challenging design features of a full-length course in a convenient nine-hole layout. It is the perfect option for golfers who don't have time for a full round but still want a challenging game. Accuracy will be greatly rewarded as well as the ability to putt to narrow, undulating greens. It is a great opportunity to get in some quality iron practice that you wouldn't be able to achieve at a driving range. Eco Golf Club is a greater challenge than most nine-hole courses and the fairways and greens stand up against most of the other courses in the area, including the championship courses. Some memorable holes are the fourth, a sharp dogleg, and the par-3 eighth, which is arguably the course's most difficult.

Hole #6 Photo submitted by Alex6841355 on 08/31/2013
Your paying to smell human fecal waste for hours.
First time out playing at the eco club. Definitely the last time as well. The course looks appealing online for the monetary aspect but don’t fall for it. The entire course surrounds a human wastewater treatment plant. You do the math. On top of that it would seem they use the fecal waste as fertilizer for their course. The conditions are so bad. The greens have sand and soil hazards on them and different types of grass as well. Fairways soggy as well. Don’t recommend.
Worth it
Fun course to play as a friendly non-competetive round. Enjoyed it
Nice 9 hole golf course.
Eco is a challenging 9 hole golf course. The fairways are narrow with woods on both sides of the fairways. The greens are small and narrow.. The pace of play is usually very good. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.
nice layout
Easy access in the heart of Hollywood. Layout is very good for an executive. I would not mind paying a little more to have better green conditions.
Clearly a $10 course
The staff was 5/5, however, the conditions of the course made it seem like it’s been neglected for years. I don’t think they own a mower, seeder, or sprinkler.
Has lost its charm
This course was probably a gem ‘back in the day’ but now it needs reseeding and drainage on the fairways, bunkers need attention and the iguanas has taken over the cart paths.
Don’t bother. Staff was great there is a water treatment plant next door. There were some interesting smells to say the least.
This course worth $10 or less
If you want something cheap with not a lotta people around go to this course. Beware greens and fairways are beyond bad conditions
Great practice course
Greens and fairways are rough in some spots. Don’t come looking for Doral or Biltmore conditions. I’m a 22 handicap and overlook the condition for a mellow relaxed place to play. Usually the pace is fast and when it’s not other golfers always let me play through.
Staff is always amazing.
Always a fun challenge
I always like playing here! Its not a long course, but you will need to use most of your clubs as the holes are tight and a little tricky. My only complaint here would be about the greens. The greens have always been up and down, bur now they're mostly gone. No fun dropping your shot on the green to walk up and find the surface is just a wreck. I wish they could fix this problem, because this is great challenging little course, but it could be so much better if they gave the greens an overhaul.
Same old Eco
It seemed like they turned the corner to better conditions mid to late spring. But now it’s summer and the same old crummy green conditions exist. This has been an issue for many many years. It’s sister/ parent course Hollywood Beach always got the attention, but even their greens have been lost. I blame the management company, there is no incentive to fix anything as it is city owned and third party management. It’s a shame because Eco is really a fun little place to play but every green has either barely any grass, cancerous spots, or the grass is not putting greens grass but tightly mowed St Augustine that does not roll very well. I wish they could get it right, I used to play there 2-3 times a week as I work close by, now I only play when I get a deal on the greens fee, maybe once a month. I hope they do something to improve conditions or change out the management company because two really nice designed courses are turning into unplayable, undesirable places to play.
Always a fun lit place to play
I enjoy Eco golf course. Even though it is a nine hole course, it plays very tight and makes you use a lot of different clubs. Unfortunately I was rained out by the seventh hole, but still I will go and play here whenever I can.
