Hollywood Beach Golf & Country Club
About
Hollywood Beach Golf & Country Club offers a championship course where you can enjoy a private and secluded setting free of homes anywhere near the fairways, tees, or greens. Donald Ross originally designed the golf course in 1924. It has a classic layout that has withstood the test of time to become one of the area's most popular public courses. Seasoned golfers will find that the course is not the most challenging but it is good for a casual round that will still keep you on your toes. The course is tight, requiring a fair amount of accuracy. There are not many hazards but there are some and they are very strategically placed. The layout is player friendly enough to accommodate a range of skill levels and the affordable rates make Hollywood Beach Golf & Country Club doubly appealing.

Really bad conditions - Friendly Staff
The conditions were terrible, 9 holes were closed and unplayable but staff was extremely friendly, which compensates the rating a bit..bad course overall
Not impressed
We were not informed that only 8 holes were open. We were paired with other players ,
It was very crowed after 2 pm. Will go back but will call ahead and ask about their flooding
issues.
Stay away
This place is a goat farm. Stay away!! No driving range. Practice putting green is a joke. Slower than shag carpeting. The layout is boring and way less than average. Just a craphole. But the frogs like it....
When the course is drenched, they open 8 holes only for a "crazy 8". It was wet and rained again a couple of times during the 14 holes I played.
I didn't play my round on Tuesday, 11/10,because of only 8 holes open, put in to Golfnow for a refund but have not been advised as such.
Hollywood Course
Its really Hollywood course, sounds good on paper but the course is in BAD shape.
But hey for $22 bucks... what do you expect. Im surprise this course was designed by Donald Ross, but now it looks like Donald Duck track. No a fan of this course.
the course was wet from night before
I have been playing once or twice a week for a few months now and the greens definately have gotten better since starting to play. Some of the fairways get real bad after rain storms. But all and all we have fun and on a perfect day outside with a little overcast not to humid good times. worth playing for the price.
Straight forward course and Friendly staff
I played today and the course was properly drained and in great condition.
Staff is super friendly and the pace of play was perfect. Some muddy parts in or around the fairway which is to be expected after getting crushed by tropical storms all summer.
10/10 would recommend to someone who hasn’t played or even a very consistent player.
Unfortunately, course is in terrible shape..because of poor drainage, fairways were wet and not cut in 3 days. Muddy and wet...would not recommend this course to any good golfer.
enjoyable
Considering all the rain recently the course was in good shape and still enjoyable to play
Not bad, but stay away in wet conditions
Haven’t played HBGC in over 6 years. Course maintenance has slipped in that time. We’ve gotten a lot of rain in the last few days. The wet conditions contributed to a miserable round. Hit many fairways and found the general area completely submerged. Several holes were shortened to compensate for this. Cart path only. Greens ran as expected for summer. Almost every bunker has a lake in it. Pace of play was a non issue. We never waited, nor were pushed. Great value when dry.
