Hollywood Beach Golf & Country Club offers a championship course where you can enjoy a private and secluded setting free of homes anywhere near the fairways, tees, or greens. Donald Ross originally designed the golf course in 1924. It has a classic layout that has withstood the test of time to become one of the area's most popular public courses. Seasoned golfers will find that the course is not the most challenging but it is good for a casual round that will still keep you on your toes. The course is tight, requiring a fair amount of accuracy. There are not many hazards but there are some and they are very strategically placed. The layout is player friendly enough to accommodate a range of skill levels and the affordable rates make Hollywood Beach Golf & Country Club doubly appealing.

Great Hollywood Course... Just off US 1 and Johnson Street.
I have probably played this course close to 35 times in the last year. Very nice course, well maintained, with several holes that will make you think.

Greens needed work.
We were in Florida for a week of golf. We chose this course since it was close to the airport. It was O.K. for a quick round before getting on a plane. Not the place I would choose for it's ambiance.
Great old course, fun to play, challeging enough for low handicap scorers
You'll have to lay up on a couple of par 4's, there's a couple of small tight greens to land, the course is harder than you think.
It's kept in very good shape all year, down the street from my house, I like it as a home course. GO!PLAY! Restaurant is great too. Ask about overnight packages that basically give you a free round just for spending the night.
Overall nice small/short course..
Needs better yardage markings!! Great course for novice players but not challenging for experienced golfers..

I am very pleased with this course. Of all the courses I have played in south Florida this is one of the best all around. Its challenging and well maintained. I will definately play this course again in the future.
Nice layout but kind of tight

Tabletop Greens!! With challenging breaks!
The front nine starts with two consecutive Par 5's, and ends with four Par 4's. Water comes into play on your approach shots on three Par 4's. Course management is a must, if you want to score well. Played from the Back Tees, a 6,376 yard track. Finished under 4 hours!!
Good for cheap
It's a decent course for 20-40 bucks. Slow greens, but in good shape. Fairways are fine, and it's really a target golf track... there are atleast 5 holes where long hitters shouldn't hit driver.

Very nice indeed
One wouldn't expect such a nice course right in the city. We play this course twice a year, and we were surprised to see how nice it is. The fairways, start areas, greens, all were in super shape, nicest I've seen here. The layout is interesting with magnificent banyon trees through the course.
very compact golf course
We started with 1 hre and 1/2 later that our starting time. As usual, Can Am golf put the trouble with too much players on the site between the starting times . We arrived at 11 hre 45 and there was 40 golfers waiting before us. Also, everybody was waiting for the golf carts. I saw all the first hole empty because there was no golf cart avalaible....After that, you play golf and everything goes wrong. You are not minded to play correctly. A bad day.........................I will continue to play Inverrary or Woodmount or Sunrise. Our foursome was very disappointed. This revew is not for publishing...
Good Course To Play
Enjoyed the course. Pace of play was good. Condition of the course was good. Staff was VERY UNFRIENDLY!
This course has two 9 holes completly different.
That course has nice greens on the back nine, many burned and bared spot on the first nine. Great bunkers with powder white sand.
The day we played, there were a lot of dead leaves on ground. Hard to see ours balls in fairways and roughs also. The main problem for the average golfers to play there is the par 4 are to long and some were unable to use the driver because creek crossing fairways on drive.
cheap but does it worth it?
we arrived 40 minutes before our tee time, but we were asked to come back later to chek in. then we had a very slow game on poorly maintened and narrow fairways . it was also the slowest greens we've faced in the area.

Greens a little spotty, but rolled fine.Overall condition just OK with some bare spots in places.
Course was OK. Only a par 70. Hackers beware because inaccurate shots can hit cars on a nearby highway.
A pleasant round of golf,overall.
Reasonable course conditions with the exception of the greens, which could be improved considerably. Very attentive and super friendly staff. A good golf experience with good pace of play in the field.
