East at Orangebrook Country Club

About
There are two 18-hole golf courses available at Orangebrook Country Club in Hollywood, the East and the West. Built in the 1930s, the East Course is the club's original layout. While its design may be more traditional, it is just as much of a challenge as the newer West Course. The East has fewer water hazards but there are large bunkers strategically placed throughout. There are some tricky holes included in the design but there are also many player-friendly features as well including wide-open fairways and generous landing areas. Players can get their practice in on the large, lighted driving range that has both distance markers and a practice bunker. Orangebrook C.C. offers not one but two player-friendly but challenging rounds, making it popular amongst locals for being one of the area's best values.

Nice place
We were 4 players. Really liked the place. The greens are a little bit poor. But nice place without too much water

For 2 couples we play à Vegas and it’s was good because hours wife loved it
Poor organization
I understand that they cannot control the weather but when the course is flooded from the rain prior, I think it is reasonable to expect the course to inform you that the course is closed and if you’d like you can play the other course at a delayed pace because of the closure. To have a too bad so sad mindset is not acceptable when it took 4.5 hours to play 8 holes.
OBE conditiond
Drainage is known to be poor at this course. Pumping off standing water would help and prevent fairway grass rot.
The rough is kept way to long. Many balls are lost in this rough and searching for them just causes unnecessary delays.
Neither colored flags nor pin location scheme is provided on both the east and west courses. Either would be nice.
Nothing “green” about the greens
Pace of play was excellent. Layout was good. Overall condition of the course was good. Greens were atrocious…don’t bother trying to read them because the ball will quite literally bounce wherever it wants.
Back Again
My wife and I have come here fors several years because of the very reasonable prices and fairly decent courses. I often come when I can get special deals.
The two courses East and West are quite different and have various challenges.
In the fall and winter it is much pretier here than in the hot summer as it was today.
Poor condition
Played this course yesterday and it's in bad shape. Mostly the greens. Lots of weeds and devoid of grass. It's impossible to putt on these greens. I wouldn't play there for free again.
