There are two 18-hole golf courses available at Orangebrook Country Club in Hollywood, the East and the West. Built in the 1930s, the East Course is the club's original layout. While its design may be more traditional, it is just as much of a challenge as the newer West Course. The East has fewer water hazards but there are large bunkers strategically placed throughout. There are some tricky holes included in the design but there are also many player-friendly features as well including wide-open fairways and generous landing areas. Players can get their practice in on the large, lighted driving range that has both distance markers and a practice bunker. Orangebrook C.C. offers not one but two player-friendly but challenging rounds, making it popular amongst locals for being one of the area's best values.

What can we Do when slow players are ahead

This morning, a very, very slow foursome played ahead if my group. They never made an offer to let us pass.

It was the 3th ou 4th group if the morning.

Please give instructions to groups in the morning that they give the course rythm, so play ready golf and let pass faster players.

Slow

Somehow we got behind a tournament of people planning some kind of best ball. Group of six then group of four.

The guys behind us joined us to speed things up a bit but really slow front and back. Will go back sometime but

will be awhile. Over hours to platy a round is to frustrating.

Walk vs Ride

Monday Round...walkers and riders dispersed on both courses...makes for some impatient cart passengers unless one realizes this IS PRIME season for all of FL and courses are impacted by sheer volume...that being said, the course does need some simple maintenance with changing TEE COLOR locations for some rest on tee boxes...greens and fringe in particular could use a bit of weeding...and DIVOT work(fellow golfers, please fix your damages)...Pro shop to Starter to tee box in a fla$h(hint--no cash in PRO shop)...since this is PEAK/PRIME season, expectations were ratcheted down, yet, the rough was virtually non existent and PREFERRED lies were the norm on almost every shot from fairway/rough...greens rock hard due to lack of rain, so, those divot repairs cited above, are for post rainy day play...better to putt from 40+ yards out since it will probably get you a two putt...okay course...but expect slower play due to mix of walkers and riders...and full tee time sheet...

Terrible course conditions greens were like velcro

Fairways terrible.

I can't find 1 positive comment to make.

Unless you own a cow stay away from this course.
