East at Orangebrook Country Club
About
There are two 18-hole golf courses available at Orangebrook Country Club in Hollywood, the East and the West. Built in the 1930s, the East Course is the club's original layout. While its design may be more traditional, it is just as much of a challenge as the newer West Course. The East has fewer water hazards but there are large bunkers strategically placed throughout. There are some tricky holes included in the design but there are also many player-friendly features as well including wide-open fairways and generous landing areas. Players can get their practice in on the large, lighted driving range that has both distance markers and a practice bunker. Orangebrook C.C. offers not one but two player-friendly but challenging rounds, making it popular amongst locals for being one of the area's best values.

Golfer Reviews
The course is good
The course is enjoyable to play. Speed of play was good.
Orangebrook is the place to go!
We are losing so many golf courses in south Florida that Orangebrook keeps looking better and better. The greens might need some TLC but the reality is that for the price you can't go wrong. Either course is great and as long as you understand that Orangebrook is the only municipal course left you'd understand why we need to keep playing it.
Good Course
I had a good game and good time here. I thought the course was pretty easy and straight forward. Not too many lakes so you dont have to worry about losing your balls in the water. Lol
Decent Beginner Course
The course isn’t in the best of shape, but it’s maintained well enough to enjoy at a decent price. I was fortunate to get out by myself before a twosome and was able to finish in 3 hours, but I can see where the course would often get backed up if you’re stuck playing behind the wrong people.
Orangebrook
The staff seems to be overwhelmed with COVID, got to the course 30 minutes early to check in and hit balls but was told that I am too early. Tried to explain and the guy (Pete) behind the desk asked to come back in 20 minutes. Our playing partners had the same experience as they arrived an hour early to rent clubs and hit balls.
It’s not a terrible deal for the price point but would rather play other local courses.
East
Arrived early. Starter got us off early. On east course score card doesn’t have red.. says green.. tee boxes marked by red... little confusing at first.
Small greens some need repair but pin position were in places that it didn’t matter.
Good Value - Friendly Staff
Two courses to choose from. Value is excellent. Well staffed with friendly and helpful people. If you're looking for a relaxed round with enough of a challenge to keep you interested, this is the place. Bunkers were a little rough but Covid policies are part of the problem (no rakes). Very enjoyable!
A Hot Deal, Indeed....
The spacious East Course of long-maligned Orangebrook was in surprisingly decent condition, save a few tee boxes, a couple of sand-sogged greens and rock-hard bunkers. Though conditions have been dry of late, the usually thinnish fairways were in good shape. Unhappily, the starter mistakenly sent me out as a solo player on a busy, and gorgeous, Friday afternoon. But after hopscotching the front nine, I found a pleasant threesome on the back nine to finish the round at a robust pace. There was no beverage cart service, nor GPS. Staffers at the snack bar , pro shop and cart attendants were friendly and efficient. A Hot Deal definitely worth the price.
