Brookside Golf Club - C.W. Koiner Course

They dumped us after a tournament. 30 min late to tee off, and on pace for a 6+ hour round. Gave up after 12 holes, which was 5 hours after our tee time. Greens were cut nice and fast, but the pins were placed in impossible places and right on top of slopes. This added to the slow play. On one or two holes, it was comical, you couldn't stop the ball next to the hole unless you made it. What a joke. I complained to the manager, and all he said was sorry. Was extremely disappointed in the experience. I won't be coming back for a long time...

Worst greens in the county. Hard as a rock. Pitch shots do not hold. Lots of maintenance staff mowing the dirt though. Another American Golf tragedy.

5 hours an 15 minutes is way to long on a weekday. There tee times are only 7 minutes apart, that really clogs it up out there. Doesn't give any body time for a bad shot or anything extra.

This course is in rough shape. Not worth the money. The LA Muni's at Griffith Park or Encino are in better shape than this course. Brookside is now officially off my list.

The greens are top notch but the course has a lot of brown patches. After a season of football, events, and now winter, its still fun to play but winter rules should apply.

Worse course conditions I've ever experienced. Website shows lush fairway and greens. Nothing but dead grass, weeds and dirt. Completely unplayable. Left after 3rd hole. At least course gave my money back.

Had a 10:00 a.m. Tee time on a Friday, didnt tee off until 1030. It was so backed up the it almost took us 6 hours to play. The fairways are horrible however the greens are in great shape. Very fast and undulating. Typical muni course with players playing from the tips who has no business playing from there. I only play there once a year because of just these conditions. Play Griffith park, the course is a lot better, faster pace of play and cheaper. Events at the Rose bowl always interferes with the course. Don't play there unless you have to.

Fairways were a little beat up from football season at the Rose Bowl. But green were very fast and in fine condition. I've played this course in May and fairways were green and in good shape.

The fairways were not good but the greens were in great shape even though it seemed they were punched. Wish they would do something about the 12th and 16th greens not playable unless you get it in the hole.

Zero organization - no attempt to speed play- they send groups of 5 out weekday days included.

I live 2 miles from there - kept trying once or twice a year.

I give up - never again.

American Golf and City of Pasadena should both be ashamed of this mess.

Greens were excellent. Most fairways were in very good condition. Played the round in 4.5 hours.
