Brookside Golf Club - C.W. Koiner Course

When you book to play a course and the arrive you expect to play the course. This course was set to be their best course. When I arrived that course was gone. Tents were set up. The driving range was closed. You played 4 holes on one course, 10 on another and then 4 back on the first. The setup was a ll screwed up.

Our tee time was at 11:10 and we finished in a little over 4 hours. There’s construction going on so the first and eighteenth hole on Nay was reduced to a par 3. Other than that, the course was in great shape and we’d definitely play there again.

They are doing construction right in the middle of the course for the foreseeable future. Hole 1 and Hole 18 are now par 3’s with tee box on 1 same position but “green” in the middle of fairway. 18 tee box is in the fairway with regular green. Would be cool for Golf Now to someone post this somewhere. Koiner is always booked but I heard that’s gonna get some moving around too. Don’t waste your money.

Checked in and received a friendly reception from the staff. Got out to tee off with two gentlemen enjoyed their company and fun golf. It was a nice day.

Went out with a golfing buddy and was excited to play a round. Paid, went to the first tee, only to find out they were seeding the tee boxes. This made the course substantially shorter. It’s already a par 70 so it was way shorter than expected. There were a number of drivable par 4’s, which are fun for your score, but not when you pay full price for a full course.

The greens were also punched which would have been nice to know. There was a ton of inconsistency on the putting green. Some moving much slower and some really fast.

All in all, the facilities were cool, parking was no problem, the people working there were nice, the golf carts had GPS, and the flags were easy to range find. I would play again, but would call beforehand to see if they are seeding or punching as that changed the whole experience.

I played this course a few times. Love it, but this past time they were redoing the greens and working on different areas of the course. On top of that it was only cart path on that day which really slow down the pace and made some holes difficult to play. I wish they would offer some type of discount or at least don’t charge for the cart when this is happening. You don’t really enjoy the course when this is happening. Hard to putt on the fair way. But if this isn’t happening I would recommend this to anyone. Unfortunately I caught it on a bad time.

Course was practically empty when we tee’d off. Played as a twosome w/ one group in front and no one behind us. It was a good round except for the flooded first hole hole and some water logged spots on the course. Can’t be too picky especially after the rain.
