Brookside Golf Club - C.W. Koiner Course

Went out with a golfing buddy and was excited to play a round. Paid, went to the first tee, only to find out they were seeding the tee boxes. This made the course substantially shorter. It’s already a par 70 so it was way shorter than expected. There were a number of drivable par 4’s, which are fun for your score, but not when you pay full price for a full course.

The greens were also punched which would have been nice to know. There was a ton of inconsistency on the putting green. Some moving much slower and some really fast.

All in all, the facilities were cool, parking was no problem, the people working there were nice, the golf carts had GPS, and the flags were easy to range find. I would play again, but would call beforehand to see if they are seeding or punching as that changed the whole experience.

Golf conditions was good, greens were punched a week ago

I played this course a few times. Love it, but this past time they were redoing the greens and working on different areas of the course. On top of that it was only cart path on that day which really slow down the pace and made some holes difficult to play. I wish they would offer some type of discount or at least don’t charge for the cart when this is happening. You don’t really enjoy the course when this is happening. Hard to putt on the fair way. But if this isn’t happening I would recommend this to anyone. Unfortunately I caught it on a bad time.

Course was practically empty when we tee’d off. Played as a twosome w/ one group in front and no one behind us. It was a good round except for the flooded first hole hole and some water logged spots on the course. Can’t be too picky especially after the rain.

I’ll start off by saying brookeside 1 is a staple for me for muni golf in Southern California. Unfortunately I don’t recall seeing anything about aeration when booking. I am not blaming anyone as I could have easily missed it when booking. But had 7 temporary greens but the course otherwise was in fantastic shape

When i was younger my dad always said i played ball at Brookside and finally i came today snd played here and i enjoyed green and with good manner people.

Course is in great condition considering the amount of traffic, the greens are quick and true

The weather was good and the other players were fun to play golf with. We enjoyed the pace of play and finished to enjoy the rest of the day.

The morning was still dark , we had a slight problem finding our golf balls.The fairways still had some areas off water from rains, but bad .it became a nice day , weather was nice and sunny, the other golfers were nice to play with.
