Don't miss this while playing Photo submitted by mk8q16ophx6477363 on 08/11/2020
Great Course, had a blast!
Great time and great course. Need to expand the food menu at the turn during the winter time, could not get a hot dog at 1230pm????? Other than that, had a great time.
Love this course
Great course. Best public golf course in Cincinnati
Fun course
Couse layout and condition great for the fall. We got unlucky and had some pushy little DH running the clubhouse that made you feel very unwelcome but overall, the place is top notch.
Great Place
One of the best public course options in Greater Cincinnati. Awesome layout with lots of variety. Conditions were great, which you'd hope for since the price is on the high end of Cincinnati courses. Always a treat to play there. Would play it more if not for the price but worth the $ when you play there. If you are not sure which tees to play I would suggest playing one set longer than you'd typically think --- lots of layup holes off the tee on the front nine if you play too short of tees.
Well worth the drive
A true pleasure to play this outstanding golf course. Even with all of the rain that we have had, the course is in fabulous shape. The greens are fast and true. The course is very well manicured.
Trying to overlook a key part of the golf experience
If you can overlook the strewn garbage where golf clubs are dropped, no starter, ranger or attendants( found out he left around 11aM), dirty carts, a golf cart with a golf bag cover that keeps falling down over the clubs because the velcro is worn out, no cups for water ( ran out of them at the outside dispenser, a water/ice dispenser that was probably last cleaned during the Bush era} and no balls by the chipping area, you will play a very challenging course. We played during the mid week and I guess in trying to keep expenses down, management has decided to ignore the importance of having golfers enjoy the total experience. Played there many years ago prior to moving from Cincy, so it was disappointing to see the total golf operation decline. The course itself is always enjoyable and challenging and on hole 2, you will see bisons, thinking you are at Yellowstone.
We chose not to eat there because of the issues addressed above. If the course would clean up, freshen up and pay more attention to details, this would have the potential to be a premier course.
Sunday Funday
Stonelick was in great shape today! I would highly recommend the course
Top notch
Stopped in to play during a business trip. The course was very nice. Very challenging with several risk/reward shots. Greens were medium/fast and rolled pretty well. I did find it interesting that the course played a lot shorter that the number on the scorecards. For instance, #18 said 532 yards on the plate by the blue tees but my skycaddie has it at 478. And the hole is not a dogleg. Had that issue on several holes.
Beautiful challenging course
It's a bit of a drive from the dayton area but it was well worth it. The layout of the course is really nice, a great variety of holes and challenging from the gold tees. Definitely not a walking course, cart is pretty much a must.
Memorable features. You won't forget this one.
Beautiful golf course. Nice views. Nice layout. and of course the island green top feature is next to a very nice clubhouse. You really had to think about your shots on this course. Plenty of risk/rewards. It was well-worth the hour drive it took to get to the course.
Great course and conditions
Staff was very friendly and accommodating from start to finish. Our group was cautioned to stay hydrated as it was over 90 degrees and 70% humidity. When we informed the staff at the turn about the pace of play, it was addressed and the back nine was at the expected pace. The course and greens, particularly is in great shape. Looking forward to going back.
Too hot without a beverage cart
104 heat index, packed course and the beverage cart ran out of Gatorade and shut down early by 3:00. Not sure why - usually better staff accomodations given the weather and number of golfers that day.
Great Father's Day at Stonelick Hills
I took my dad to Stonelick Hills for a Father's Day round and I was pleasantly surprised. I had not played this course since it opened in 2004 and it was well worth the money and the drive. The course was in perfect condition, the greens rolled true and the pace was decent (it was a Sunday morning/afternoon, we knew what we were getting ourselves into); plus the rangers were always out and making sure the pace of play was being closely monitored. I have nothing but good things to say about the course and the staff. We were treated very well and I will definitely play this course again.
You need to pay this course
This is one of the nicest courses you will plat. The course is in excellent shape, the design is top notch and the experience is worth the money. Jeff O the owner needs to be complemented ... it is all about the golf experience and that is tremendous. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed.
Always a great course except certain times on Sunday - a little slow. Great staff and lovely layout.
A hidden gem
A very challenging course from any teebox where you have to think your way around. Planning your attack off the tee is a good start. Greens are quite contoured so it was a bit of a handicap not knowing where to place your approach shots, but the greens were smooth and roll pretty true. Use the online designer tips to help. Wish they had a course layout booklet to purchase!
