Beautiful Friday Morning Round

Great time playing Crosswinds Golf course early on a Friday morning. Was playing as a single and the starter was kind enough to adjust my starting position to put me with another single on hole 3, bypassing 3 foursomes of slower players.

Course overall was in very good shape. Fairways were well kept and had even grass throughout. Plenty of open areas to hit quality drives and get rewarded for it. Really penal areas were far enough away so as to only come into play with really bad shots (as it should be). Greens were very receptive, well maintained and rolled true on each hole.

We were joined by a walking single at the turn which slowed us down a tiny bit, but overall the pace of play was pretty good 4:15 for 18 holes at 8:10am on a Friday

Good day slow play

Friendly staff. Course in good shape mostly. Front nine pace was great. Then it all stopped. Had to leave after 12th hole. As we were leaving the 18th hole was a 4sm ona par 5 with now one in sight infront of them. Each taking 2 to 3 drives off the tee box. Suspect they might be the reason for the back up.

Would play here again.

Played on vacation

Played in just over 4 hours, never had to wait on a hole. Fun layout that works for all playing levels. Only downside was that the course was very dry so areas around the green were tough to chip from. Greens were fast and tough to read.

Good course

First time we played here. It’s very dry here right now and need rain. However you get a lot of roll because it’s dry. It is located right at the end of a runway at Savannah Airport. Fun to watch the planes take off. Even the fighter jets, except they were EXTREMELY loud, but fun to watch go straight up. I would play this course again. It was fun!

Must Play

Crosswinds is a must play golf course. We played on a Saturday and completed our round in 3:35. We did have a delay at the turn. You have the ability to order food from your cart, which we did but because the restaurant is understaffed we had to wait to receive our order. Fairways and greens are in good shape, the tee boxes need some work.

Overbooked again

We played for over 4 hours and only got through 13 holes. They overbooked the course yet again. I won’t be back.
