ZenWoods Golf Club
About
ZenWoods Golf Club (formerly known as Point O' Woods Golf Course) is a nine-hole, par-30 course that is truly a hidden gem in that it can be a tricky course to find. Located in Inverness, the course is popular with local golfers as well as visitors who can actually find it. The golf course wraps around a large lake that is home to an abundance of wildlife. The layout is a favorite among seniors for its walkability and it's also a great spot for families since it's a player-friendly round for all skill levels. The bunkering is sparse but strategically placed and scattered trees also demand accuracy. The lake acts as a water hazard on a few holes as well. Though ZenWoods Golf Club is gentle enough for beginners there are still some tricky holes that will test your skills.

Chill course
Very chill course. Course needed work. But unfortunately with the increase in cost to maintain it's very difficult. Super friendly staff!!
Could be a great little course
A lot of fun to play for a warm up round but the greens were awful. The only putting surface with grass on it was #9. All in all it was just ok for a $10 golf course. It has a lot of potential to be a really great little course but someone has to exert some effort in making all of the greens puttable.
Disappointed
A group of us try to make golfing a weekly thing during the months that we are together. Point O Woods has been our go to place because of the size, location, and cost. The end of last season looked like the course was improving. Was very disappointed with the condition of the course the other day. Not sure if we will be returning.
needs TLC
This course has a mix of longer and shorter holes in a beautiful location. It could be outstanding if it would be cared for. Grass on tees needs to be cut and fertilized. Greens are terrible. It is such a shame to see such a nice layout in such terrible condition. We hope someone can put some money in this course. It could be a real gem.
Improving
It’s come a long way.
Still needs attention on the greens.
Great for a quick 9.
New to Golf
This was my 1st time playing after 4 lessons so I didn't want to be rushed or have a lot of challenges. This was the perfect place for that.
WYSIWYG. A very affordable 9-hole Par3
It’s usually no more than $15 to play. It’s under new ownership and they are making small, incremental improvements (noticeable on holes 8/9) but the rest of the course is in rough shape. The greens are in truly pitiful condition and make putting awful. The tee boxes are long and the fairways pretty dicey. It’s fun to go and hit a couple tee shots and practice approach shots. The staff is always very friendly, I’ve heard the food is good but haven’t tried it myself. I like the course just don’t expect too much.
1st Time
My friend and I live in the Villages during the winter months.I have a haphazard work schedule which has prevented us from booking tee times on the executive courses and having to resort to leftovers. This year leftovers have been scarce as there is a high volume of players booking tee times and multiple course closures mostly due to horrible greens and that has forced us to look elsewhere. That said, although smaller, the greens at Point of Woods were in much better shape than what we have seen in the Villages this year on their executive courses. We are in our 70’s,and not great players by any means.A good day for us would be a couple pars and no lost balls. The course for us was certainly challenging enough, and the price point was right. We felt the T boxes were too close to the previous green in some cases and we waited in a couple cases for fear of hitting the ladies in front of us.Fortunately for us we had a couple to follow as we probably would have spent extra time figuring out that we had to walk across the closed golf cart bridge on hole 4 to get to the T box.I had read that the course was under new ownership, and we realize major improvements don’t happen overnight. The staff we met were very friendly, and we will certainly play here again.

Nice par 3 with various look per hole. We'll be back.
Beautiful land.
The staff here were extremely friendly and personable. The greens are small which makes for some challenging approach shots. The course winds around a body of water that can come into play often without a well placed shot. The greens were a little rough, but rolled surprisingly well. I took my 8 year old son golfing here and we had a great time together. There was no pressure from other golfers on the course, and the pace of play was great. For the price of the green fees, there is absolutely nothing to complain about l. I'd come back again for sure, and look forward to it. It was a great place to work on some short iron shots, as well as the beautiful dog leg par 4 coming down hole nine to finish.
Great course
The staff is very friendly April is great to deal with. The course is getting in better shape every time I play it.
