Pinehills Golf Club - Nicklaus Course

Unfortunately the greens had been aerated and had not been overdressed sufficiently. Putting was impossible as nothing was true from a break perspective and getting the right speed was impossible.

Firstly, the Pinehills courses are beautiful, very well maintained with very helpful and friendly staff from the bag team, pro, and rangers. I loved the Nicklaus course, which is set up to be challenging but fair to well-placed shots.

I play between 30-40 rounds of golf each summer on courses around Plymouth and the Cape. Pinehills was a special treat at the end of the season. I have a back injury that limits my mobility. Most of the other clubs have a clear system for golfers with mobility issues. Typically, a blue flag that designates an ability to pull the cart closer to the green and tees to minimize the risk of falls and to speed up play. Unfortunately, Pinehills uses a GPS cart limiting system that will stall the cart if players drive off the fairways or too close to the green. When I asked for accommodations for my disability, the pro and starter indicated they would set the GPS system to allow better access to tee and green. This proved to be frustrating. My cart stalled in the fairway when I was 25 to 50 yards from the green. At one point, I pulled the cart just off the cart path near the tee and it stalled and locked on me requiring all three of my golf partners to push me back to the path. I understand the club wants to maintain their excellent course conditions, but I would recommend evaluating the accommodations for disabled and senior golfers.

We had an incredible time here as always. I usually play the Jones course, so playing Nicklaus was a treat! It was absolutely perfect, as always. One of my very favorite courses. Couldn’t think of a single thing for them to improve!

Well designed course……challenging but very fair and opportunity to score well. Great food in restaurant along with driving range, huge practice putting green and bunker and pitching/chipping practice areas. Bring friends for an enjoyable day

The check-in staff in the pro shop gave me a hard time, but the course and the rest of the staff were amazing. If you make a reservation through GN, make sure you call as well.

fairways, everything about the course feels like a private country club.

Unlimited balls at the range, two large putting greens, chipping area too. They take your clubs , put them on a cart and park it in front of the range. Great staff, from the clubhouse , starter and beverage cart, all very pleasant.

After your round enjoy a few drinks and/or a great meal at the restaurant, East Bay Grill, (not affiliated with the course).
