Cecil Field Golf Club
About
Fiddler's Green at Cecil Field Golf Club is located at the Cecil Commerce Center, formerly the Cecil Field Naval Air Station. The golf course was built in 1975 and has been managed by Capstone Golf since 2005.
Fiddler's Green is a regulation 18-hole course in a beautiful tree-lined setting with no development on its borders. The course offers a stern challenge, measuring 6,643 yards from the championship tees. The course rating is 71, and it has a slope rating of 125.
Towering pines shape the course as it weaves its way around the serene natural setting. Fiddler's Green's generous fairways leave challenging approach shots to some of the smallest putting greens in the area.

For the money
For 10 bucks this course is in great shape. But if you like nicely kept course look elsewhere. With that said for the price I'll be playing again.
This was a waste of money and time!!
Learned from experience one & Done. Don't believe I will ever play the course or recommend it again.
Meh
Others have said it well- no grass on the fairways, greens are pretty rough, no water on the course to drink, only a couple of holes have signs. I'm pretty easy to please but this one tested that. I thought 17 and 18 were nice holes and there were several greens with well-placed bunkers to make them difficult.
My cart was also a bucking bronco as someone mentioned earlier, sluggish then jolting ahead.
I'll say yes on the recommendation question but with some reservations- it is what it is.
Course was pretty in the sense that it is out in the woods and it is quiet out there.
Great Value
They are working on the course. The greens were much better then the last time I played it. The staff was very friendly. They are doing more work on the fairways this month. Bonus was the pro shop had many gloves for my right hand ( I am a lefty) at a great price. I love the fact that I can walk the course, something hard to find on the weekends. I'll be back soon.
DRAINAGE IS A MAJOR DRAWBACK
STANDING WATER EVERYWHERE 2 DAYS AFTER RAIN. SEEMS LIKE A FORMER MILITARY COURSE, BARE BONES, NO FRILLS GOLF. A NEAR DUPLICATE OF DEERFIELD LAKES COURSE IN CALLAHAN.
Course could use some tlc
Good course for the money. Great for a day of golf
Course at Cecil Field
Two things that seem to be a reasonable request.
1. Need some type of indicator of the hole number being played. There are none.
2. Need some type of bathroom facility, either portable or permanent at the mid range of each 9 holes. Maintenance was ongoing at the time I played and is a given.
Nice folks
Nice people but the course is a pasture. The $10 I paid would have been better spent at a driving range. The course is a dump-
Needs work!
Check -in was good, found the restrooms to need attention! Women's was filthy and men's was not much better. Golf cart was like riding a bucking bronco, needs tune up or carb. adjustment, hesitates then jumps on accelerating. Greens in good shape for this time of year, hard to find grass on the fairways! This course is apparently being rebuilt/refurbished, do not lok for "quality " play yet!
Fun to get out
Cecil field is a great place to go and just have the feel of a good golf game.. The fairways aren't the best and the greens aren't much better but everytime I go they seem to improve. It's a cheap place to play just to get out for a while and the staff is very friendly!
Course is in bad shape, but cheap
This course is in terrible shape, but the price is very low. I paid $12 for 18 holes on a Sunday. I wouldn't recommend this course to a group, but for someone working out a few kinks it's price really reflects its quality.
Course is the greenest I have ever seen.
Great conditions greens are in really good shape also.
The course is good,. It needs some work but for the price it's great..
I think the course can use some work, the greens couldbe faster, and the cars are rough. For the price, it's real
ly worth it, I'm a beginner so it's great for me...
the course has good features
The course is a good place for beginners it is not to hard or to easyto play and the food at the 19th hole is excellent
Getting better
Better condition than earlier in season, for the price its a good course for a practice round. Fairways still a mess on some holes.
good golfing time
Cecil field is one of the only courses that doesn't have houses in and around it. This is so rare, and so welcome. The track is wide and flat, easy. I played 17 holes with the same ball. It's a place that's so laid back.
Bad fairways
Most of the fairways are in terrible shape. It is like playing in a mowed down cow pasture. The greens are relatively small and firm; requires you to be a little more accurate with your approach shots.
Good bang for the buck
Had a weekday 8:03 tee time. Rather than be stuck behind a members tourney, starter allowed us to go off on #10. Our twosome played in a leisurely paced 3hr-15min. With an $18 green fee with cart, our expectations weren't very high. We got what we paid for. Course was a little rough around the edges. #18 fairway hadn't been mowed in at least a week. Caution: no water jugs on the course - - and this is Florida in August! I'll be going back. At these prices this retiree can play twice as often.
