Cecil Field Golf Club
About
Fiddler's Green at Cecil Field Golf Club is located at the Cecil Commerce Center, formerly the Cecil Field Naval Air Station. The golf course was built in 1975 and has been managed by Capstone Golf since 2005.
Fiddler's Green is a regulation 18-hole course in a beautiful tree-lined setting with no development on its borders. The course offers a stern challenge, measuring 6,643 yards from the championship tees. The course rating is 71, and it has a slope rating of 125.
Towering pines shape the course as it weaves its way around the serene natural setting. Fiddler's Green's generous fairways leave challenging approach shots to some of the smallest putting greens in the area.

Great course, worth a visit
Played here on a Saturday afternoon with wife and we enjoyed it. Everyone was very accommodating and the course was in pretty good shape. As others mentioned there are improvements in progress on a few holes but overall very playable. Will definitely return soon. Really good value for the price.
The course was easy to play.
The course was a good course for the money. It was not hard to play. It was in ok condition
Much Improved
I started playing here about a year ago, and the improvement is off the charts! Over the past 6 or 8 months, my friend and I play at least once a week, and each time we play there is some kind of improvement or change for the better that is clearly noticeable. I recommend this course to players of any skill level. For the price, you cannot beat it!!
I have played this course often since 1975. It is not in particularly good condition.
The greens were pretty good for dry fall conditions. The course is suffering from lack of water. The 2012 rainfall has been inadequate to fertilize and nurture Bermuda. To your credit, one can tell that attention has been given to the greens at the resultant cost to the tees and fairways. Loss of all the trees has made and will continue to make the course more player friendly. However, scores will not improve because one draws so many poor lies in the fairways. Thank you for asking. I will continue to play. In my lifetime I have played more rounds only at Ravines and The Ohio State University.
Priced right.
Course is below par for this area. Greens are smooth and firm with a few brown spots. Fairways are overgrown with Bahia grass and weeds athough they were mowed. Crews were working on all aspects of the course while we played so they are addressing problems. Long way to go though. But for $10 I can't complain.
Getting better...
New management really bringing course around. It's still dodgy, but getting better. Greens are in good condition, but slow. Cart paths are atrocious, need to be replaced. I've always liked the layout here. Course is relatively easy, but what makes it difficult are the tiny greens. Any male player under 60 should play from the tips here. Come out and support these guys, they're trying hard!
Its a $10.00 course
No tee markings, no distance
No balls washing stations
No next hole markings
fairway is rough
No maintenance crew was seeing on the course
Cart was in good condition but no sand to fill the holes
Greens were not up to par
It is a $10.00 course, a place were you can go practice for the price
This course is a good practice track.
My tee time was 2:15 PM. I arrived early, no problem tee off @ 2:00PM
keep improving
they are working very hard to bring the course up.there is a100% improvement on greens.
The course is improving
I hadn't plated the course in 3 years because of the condition it was in. While there is still a lot of improvement that needs to be completed, the new ownership has made a remarkable difference already and I look forward to seeing continued progress in this facility.
GREAT COURSE
The course is getting better every month. The greens are great
dreat place to plat golf!
this course is realy nice it has, wide open fair ways, nice greens, and a great staff. I have played there several times it has been great every time! I will return next weekend.
Hidden Gem having it's sparkle returned.
This course has flourished under it's new management. They have worked hard and brought the course back to life. It's by no means a "country club" course. It's playable, with super friendly staff. Give it a try!
