Cecil Field Golf Club
About
Fiddler's Green at Cecil Field Golf Club is located at the Cecil Commerce Center, formerly the Cecil Field Naval Air Station. The golf course was built in 1975 and has been managed by Capstone Golf since 2005.
Fiddler's Green is a regulation 18-hole course in a beautiful tree-lined setting with no development on its borders. The course offers a stern challenge, measuring 6,643 yards from the championship tees. The course rating is 71, and it has a slope rating of 125.
Towering pines shape the course as it weaves its way around the serene natural setting. Fiddler's Green's generous fairways leave challenging approach shots to some of the smallest putting greens in the area.

Great value for the money, I had played this course before. And it has improved since the last time.
I have played this course many times in the past, it has approved greatly. Good beginner course or for somebody just starting to play again.
Very nice people, course looks decent but needs work. Water coolers on back nine would be greatly appreciated.
In line with Deerfield lakes and Hyde Park. Typical westside course, needs work on some fairways, tee boxes and cart paths. Greens are decent thanks to the rain. More water coolers would be great! Great value for what it is.
Looking better
The new management team is doing a great job getting the course in better shape. The greens are very nice. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The golf club has a female teaching pro that has brought my game to the next level. I was last in my men's group and I finished 2nd place. I will be #1 w her help. This is the best course to learn the game of golf.
This course is in better shape than I have seen it in years
keep up the good work, a little more work on the greens will improve the over all play of the course.
Course is in serious need of repair.
For $13 it's hard to beat the price but the fairways were virtually non-existent. On 8 of the fairways I was hitting off dirt. The greens were very bumpy but at least there was grass on them. No water available on the course unless you purchased it.
Good dollar value.
Any time u can play for less then a dollar a hole it's a good deal. The greens are well kept and the work on the fairways continues. It's work in progress. .
This course is awesome
I really enjoyed playing at fiddlers green. The new owners are putting a lot of money into the course and it shows. the greens are sweet and the fairways are looking good. friendly staff and great prices. I will be back,
an okay course
Wish they put water jugs out on the course...the tee boxes need work but its an okay course for the price.
Rough course with even rougher management.
New owner doesn't have a clue how to treat customers. Overall customer service is on par with 3am Mc'donalds drive through.
New staff is very abrasive and unpleasent.
Course has come a long way but still mostly dirt fairways. The tee boxes are un-even and overall poor quality.
Used to play all the time while learning the game. Customer Service quality has made it where we will never come back.
Spend the money and play a real course like Bent Creek, Hyde Park, and Eagle Landing. It's worth it trust me!
$20 was too much.
The grass in the fairways was almost knee high. No water or cart sales on a 100 degree FL afternoon. We had to walk back to clubhouse to get drinks. Fiddler's Green's own website quoted $20 to play. The employee would not honor this even when shown it. He said it was a mistake and the cost was $28. This is actually the reason we bought on golfnow.com We know it's not the best place to play, and you get what you pay for...but cut the grass and be polite, it goes a long way.
The course is somewhat long
After hearing my buddies talk about the course I decided to give it a shot. I don't think I will make the long drive out to play it again. I think the course maintenance is moderate at best.
Terrible course.
Driving range is a joke. Tee boxes need work and are uneven. Fairways are hard in some spots. Outside the fairway has weeds hip high. This could be a nice course if they would take care of it.
Love - Hate Affair
I have a love - hate affair with this course. Location, price, value, food, beer - all excellent. They are making improvements, but it's not perfect yet. A great place for me to work on swing changes, check club yardages and more. If you prefer playing, over bashing balls at the range this is your course... But! The rough was US Open height and looking for balls that were barely off the fairway slowed down the game. Also, it's the only course where I can't find the ball after hitting it in the middle of the fairway. One day, this place will be amazing, but it's not there yet. Still, I'll be back!
Great price, but grass was too long.
Needed to be cut, badly, but the course was easy and I enjoyed it.
Great Course for the $$
great course to play if you just enjoy big tee shot with a pitching wedge. there are maybe 3 holes where you might need to break out the 3wd or hybrid. for the money you cant go wrong. only wish is that the fairways could get some more thicker grass.
rhey are making progress on the course
the cost is affordable. the greens are coming back from winter rye
The course is in terrible shape. Over grown weeds, huge and MANY bare spots in the fairways. Impossibe to hit a proper chip shot from around the grr
The course is in terrible shape. Over grown weeds, huge and MANY bare spots in the fairways. Impossibe to hit a proper chip shot from around the grreens. Had to 'tap' on the starter under neath the seat to keep the golf cart running.....really!
This course is in bad condition.Could be a beautiful course but it is poorly maintained
It was inexpensive. Disappointed in the condtion of faiways, greens and the cart path. Clubhouse was not inviting. Personnal were very nice and cart girl made many rounds with good service.
For an inexpensive round of golf come on out.
The course is very rough. It needs attention on every aspect. It had rained the past few days and maybe that's why the greens hadn't been cut. It is a heavily traveled course, however for the money its a fun way to spend 3-4 hours with your buddies.
You get what you pay for.
Greens in poor condition, fairways pock marked with holes and weeds all over. Armadillo holes everywhere. needs considerable maintenance.
