Jacksonville Beach Golf Club
About
The newly revamped Jacksonville Beach Golf Club, built in 1959, is one of the only public access courses on Jacksonville's Beaches. The golf course was originally designed by Sam Snead.
The changes at Jacksonville Beach Golf Club began with the rebuilding and modernizing of more than half the greens on the golf course, along with some new bunkers and bulkheads to add to the already beautiful look.
The 18-hole golf course measures 6,510 yards from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 71.9, with a slope rating of 126.

Great day on the course
Good value for your money! The weather was great, being from the North, and I really appreciated the day.
Ok nota great course good to work on game
Its Ok not a great course. Good for practice, an the greens are in Bad shape needs more work
Course layout difficult but challenging.
I liked the layout of the course but the conditions were not great. I would play it again if I could get the great deal I had this time to play. Would not pay full price. Crowded and slow to play, wait on most shots, but still finished in a decent time. Glad to have been in a foursome for pace of play. Harder for ladies as lots of layups due to water. Not a 114 slope in my book.
Fairways o.k....Greens need attention and have needed since summer
Greens are poor. Have been poor since the summer. Played last Spring and the course was in great shape...what happened?
the greens are consistant
The course was in overall great shape...the only gripe is
there were a few patchy spots on some greens
Get what you pay for!
I had not played Jax Beach in about 8 years and booked a Tee Time because of the price. I go what I paid for! The front nine greens were terrible and the back nine were just ok! Greens were super slow...the slowest I have ever played! I will not go back until the greens are in better shape. The course has a ton of potential but needs care.
Open course
The course was in fair condition. The greens needed attention but fairways were nice. The practice area could use attention. You can only hit off mats and the practice green had not been mowed but overall a good value for the price.
Good for a Hot Deal... But not for regular price
It's a good solid course, greens on front 9 leave something to be desired, back 9 were a little better maintained.
fun course to play
greens need attention overall pretty good for a public course.
Great Value
If youre looking for a TPC kept course then book down the road. However if youre looking for a descent public course and a descent price then this is your course. Greens were not in the best shape on our visit but Im not Tiger Woods either, just trying to have an enjoyable day of golf without going broke.
layout is fair with seasonal effects
the course is in average shape due to seasonal weather.
the atmosphere is great for a round of golf. demanding but fair.
Fun course
Greens were a bit sandy and some where still patchy from previous work. Overall all rolled pretty smooth and many were very quick
On a finishing note though, there were two American Bald Eagles sitting on the edge of the water on the left of the closing hole. Nice way to finish the round.
Well maintained and has good features
Not a very long course, 6500 from the blues, and iron play is key since a driver is only used on 6-8 holes.
Back 9 greens are all top dressed
We were paired up with another twosome that were extremely slow. While it was wide open in front and back of us. Round took 5 hours when we could have finished in 2 1/2.
Fun Course
Jax Beach Golf Club, is a really fun course to play. It is well maintained, challenging, and I had a great time playing this course. The staff is great, and while playing my round, the level of service was second to none. I never went thirsty! I can't think of anything I did not like here. I recommend everyone try this course at least once.
Nice upgrades
The changes that have been made to the course make it a little tougher to play and much more pleasing to the eye. The greens are not quite grown in yet and can lead to frustration on some putts. Overall this course is my favorite municiple course that I've played.
Not bad
Played around noon on a Tuesday, as a two-some (rare it seems for this course). Greens were very, very slow. Fairways were ok - large weed patches in some areas. Bunkers were actually in good shape, sand was soft and easy to get out of. Nice to see they no longer have any temporary greens.
Very enjoyable to play
Returned to play this course because of my first experience and will come back to play again (as also planned by my golf buddies. Well maintained, friendly and efficient staff, challenging but fair course (if mid to upper handicapper you will lose a ball or two (or more).
course had great potential but no real effort done making condition improvement.
Course is a city owned and operated facility.....so the bar is set rather low in all aspects of its operation.
