Tooth 9-hole Course at Orange County National
About
The Tooth Course is a popular nine-hole executive course at the Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge. The facility also features two 18-hole regulation courses. The Tooth Course mimics the shape and challenges of its sister courses but on a smaller scale, making it an ideal place for golfers to sharpen their game. The course is especially useful for getting practice with irons. The course offers strategically placed bunkers, a lake that comes into play on four holes, and subtle elevation changes. Orange County National welcomes younger players to play the Tooth, allowing them to play free of charge when accompanied by an adult.

Great value, but walking with no water on the course is rough
For $7 I can't complain too much. The pace was good and the condition of the course was outstanding, but no cart and no water is rough in the middle of the day in Florida. They warn you about availability of carts and some people had them, and others did not. I did not as the staff was trying to preserve carts for the other longer Orange National courses. There is no water, so without a cart it is difficult to carry water to stay hydrated in the heat of the day.
Fun Little walking nine
One of my favorite things to do bright and early first thing on a weekend is head over to Orange County national and do nine holes on Tooth
The entire facility is fantastic truly a great place to hone your game
Nine holes on a hot day
The tooth was in great shape today
The perfect solution for getting irons tuned up. Recommend highly. Was able to enjoy with another person so lots of fun.
Great Practice Course
This is a short 9 hole course that's great for working on your short game. Carts aren't always available, but they do provide complimentary push carts if you don't mind walking. The walk isn't bad at all, and it's great exercise. Also, since it's a practice course there isn't usually a starter. They weren't busy when I played, so they told me to start when I was ready. Overall a very relaxing experience.
Carts NOT included.
This was my first time at this course. On my reservation it stated a cart was included. Silly me I assumed golf cart. I called ahead of my reservation on the “recorded” like and was informed that GOLF CARTS are provided for every course, even the tooth corse. Then I was told someone completely different upon arrival. Not carts allowed, or hand cart/walking course. I still played this time because when I asked about moving my reservation to another course with an actual cart they wanted to charge me an addition 160. Get out of here! I’m going to have to have a little chat with golf now about proper advertising and refunds because I book this course three times based off their misinformation.
Wrong Information
I didn't play...before I booked the tee time I called the course and asked if they were making carts available at this time since they discontinued the practice and I was told YES we now provide carts...however, when I went to check in the lady at the counter said NO they are not being issued...if they would of told me that in the first place over the phone I wouldn't have booked the tee time since I've been having issues with my back and didn't want to chance walking the course.
Very Average Walking 9
This 9 hole walking course in no way represents the beautiful 2 full 18 hole courses at OCN (Panther Creek & Crooked Cat). Panther and Crooked Cat are absolutely top notch golf courses that are well manicured and cared for. The Tooth course on the other hand is quite poor to be honest. For $25 dollars I just do not see the value. Very plain and open layout, with a few bunkers and small ponds scattered throughout the 9 holes. But the greens were the worst part of the course. I swear it was like putting on fairway. The blades of grass were long enough you could mistake it for the fridge. Pace of play was very fast (which we loved). But for the value of a dollar I just can not recommend this walking 9 to anyone.
Sharpen your short game!
Can’t beat this course if you can get on with a “hot deal” played the course all week and enjoyed almost every round, just watch out for the weekend 8some! Other than that the course is well maintained with quality greens and bunkers. lots of wind to challenge your game used allot of different clubs depending on conditions. Just don’t be fooled by the included cart not the case, easy enough to walk though.
Rain Checks and Refunds on hot deals from GolfNow
I purchased a hot deal on GolfNow for two players. Our tee time was on Thursday @11:30 and there was a 100% chance of Rain in the forecast. I actually live close by and it was raining hard around 10:30 but since I live close by it wasn’t to inconvenient for me but my brother was driving over an hour to the Course. I called the pro shop to see what the policy was on rain checks or refunds and since I purchased a hot deal on GolfNow they said that I would have to contact GolfNow for a refund. The lady I spoke to from the pro shop wasn’t very helpful actually I thought she was unprofessional so I spoke to the manager and at least I got the information I asked for from him. I contacted GolfNow and they won’t give a refund unless the course closes due to the weather. We decided to go to the course and after waiting until 1:00 the rain finally slowed down enough to play. Although I feel like I should have got a rain check or refund we made the most of it and we were surprised on how well the drainage was because it dried up before we finished our round. The reason for my rant was to let players know what to expect if you purchase a hot deal from GolfNow.
Great all round practice course
Offers all amenities to hone and practice on small course. Great for short game practice.
Beautiful nine holes
This place is always well kept and first rate. The staff does a great job from the time you get there til you finish your day. We will be back
TREATED LIKE DIRT
Guy in Pro Shop tried to double dip on Pull cart ( Tooth is a walking course) bought the round on line with cart included. IT STATED SO ON RECEIPT. Pro shop guy said it didn't apply,. But he was finally convinced by another employee that it did. Not a good way to start a round and the guy didn't even say he was sorry. Next, we had a nine-some playing in front of us. That said, I know it's very hard to get good help and this course is run by the county and nobody has any skin in the game.
