About
Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club offers two championship courses, the North and the South. Both courses sprawl across a verdant landscape covered with mature oaks, lakes, and ponds. The terrain is unusually hilly for Florida. Like the South Course, the North Course is undulating with a lot of movement but it has even greater elevation changes than the South, which provides scenic views of the surrounding community. On a clear day, golfers can see at least five miles to the northeast from the second tee. The North has a more modern layout that plays a little bit longer. Although the golf courses are nestled amongst rolling hills, Lake Jovita is situated just 30 minutes north of Tampa. The unique hilliness of the courses and their convenient location have made them some of Florida's must-play courses.

great day
staff was excellent, was allowed to tee off 45 minutes early..Played as single, a pair let me play through which was nice. Played in just under 3 hours.Course was in great shape, greens, fairways and tee boxes are in great shape. Really a nice day!
Too big for their knickers
I used to love playing Lake Jovita. Around a year and a half ago, new management came in a jacked up the prices. I used to play there 2-3 times a month. Now I play there 5-6 times a year. They’ve become too expensive. I bet their rounds this past year have went down when every other golf course’s I’ve played, their rounds have went up due to COVID. What a shame. It’s a drive to get here too. If you’re going to drive, I’d recommend going to Fox Hollow or Eaglebrooke in Lakeland. If you have to make a drive to play some good golf, you might as well drive somewhere where it doesn’t cost you an arms be a leg.

I thoroughly enjoyed played Lake Jovita - North course for my first time! I got lucky and was paired up with a good golfer and very nice person. We did get to ride in separate carts without an extra charge (even though there is apparently suppose to be one for $20), but we were told by course employees that were playing behind us that we should not have been able to do so. If I were forced to ride with an unknown player or had to pay extra to ride separate, I would have not played!
As for the course it is a very nice layout, and was in very good condition. I am looking forward to getting back there to try the south course.

Cool day great track
The course is in nice shape and the greens are rolling very quick. Took almost 5 hours on a Sunday afternoon which was unfortunate. The only gripe was the GPS not working Correctly with pin position placements.
Hope to return soon!
Wonderful course. Played the North. It is in pristine condition, greens are as true as any course around. The staff is extremely attentive. Loved every minute of it.

This course has always been in great shape and it continues to be of the best courses in the area
One of my favorites
First visit this year and nothing but 5 stars all around, from the welcome staff to the grounds crew working the course, all friendly and accommodating. I'll be back quickly and often!!
Perfect Day for Golf
The course was in good condition and the pace of play was excellent.
Great round on north course
Perfect day, weather outstanding.Played in a little over 3 hours.Course was in great shape, bunkers have been worked on.Cart girl was out and available.It seems to me an effort is being made to get course back to the way it use to be. All staff was friendly.
Very nice course
We played the North course which is fairly open but still plenty interesting with bunker placements and sloping greens. The course is very soft due to recent rains
