Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club - North Course
About
Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club offers two championship courses, the North and the South. Both courses sprawl across a verdant landscape covered with mature oaks, lakes, and ponds. The terrain is unusually hilly for Florida. Like the South Course, the North Course is undulating with a lot of movement but it has even greater elevation changes than the South, which provides scenic views of the surrounding community. On a clear day, golfers can see at least five miles to the northeast from the second tee. The North has a more modern layout that plays a little bit longer. Although the golf courses are nestled amongst rolling hills, Lake Jovita is situated just 30 minutes north of Tampa. The unique hilliness of the courses and their convenient location have made them some of Florida's must-play courses.

Golfer Reviews
Great views and elevation changes
Doesn't look or feel like a Florida course. Have played both the North and the South courses. Hole #11 on the South course is my favorite hole, but overall I like the North course the most. The greens were extremely fast, but rolled true. Very picturesque
Another great round at Lake Jovita
I have played the North Course 4 times now and this course never disappoints.
The staff is friendly, and I appreciate the range balls included in the round for warmup. Unlimited range balls in above average condition,
Course itself is in near perfect shape.
Although the greens are not a bright green color like some other courses that overseeded for the winter, they are really really fast and roll true, as always, but soft on approach shots into them. I appreciate the variety of teeing options available, as this course can challenge a golfer of any ability. This course is really fun for the bomber, as the holes are ample in width, and the fairways are firm and fast. Bunkers are in great shape and well maintained. Be sure to give yourself a bit of time on the practice green to get used to the speed of these greens. They will require utmost attention when you get out on the course.
Nice course
Course is in good shape. Greens are hard to read.
Nice scenery, many local players and the pace is not that good.
Difficult course, at least for me, but fair. Always in great condition.
Course is always in great condition. Greens are always fast. Good practice facility and fee includes bucket of balls and more.
North Course - Very Playable
I played from the green tees about 5800 yards and found the course very playable for a 18 handicap. At 6300 yards there would have been too many par 4s over 350 yards
This course is beautiful
This course has huge fairways, so i don't need to loose my ball when i slice or hook it.
for long hitters a fest
missed a vieuw of each hole. no idea where the pin was hitting in the blind. also on two holes you must have a cary of more the 150 y even by one more than 200 y.
Nice layout country club atmosphere
I played the north course and the conditions were good to very good coming off a wet summer in the area. Some standing water but not much. A real nice layout. There are 36 holes and both courses are challenging and well kept. Semi-private and does have a country club feel to it. Nice range, club house and pro shop..
