About
Subtle but enticing, Crandon is a well-planned challenge built in 1972 by Robert von Hagge and Bruce Devlin. In 1993, a redesign by von Hagge brought new greens and bunker configurations. Formerly known as "The Links at Key Biscayne" Crandon Park Golf Course is a championship 18-hole golf course located on the "island paradise" of Key Biscayne, just 10 minutes from downtown Miami.
The course has the world's largest tee, seven saltwater lakes, challenging sand traps, mangrove thickets, and many holes overlooking Biscayne Bay.
You can see crocodiles (they have three), numerous raccoons and Jurassic-sized iguanas darting across the course. The blue and tri-colored herons, white ibises, snowy egrets, pelicans and anhinga grace the fairway roughs and saltwater banks.
From the first hole - a dogleg par 5 that requires a drive over water and mangroves - to the last - another par 5 with water on both sides of the fairway - Crandon Park Golf Course has, in many ways, become Miami-Dade's signature public golf course.

Golfer Reviews
beautiful and very challenging course
The staff was excellent and friendly. The course was challenging and very well maintained . I would have to say this one of the best courses I have ever played at.
good course in search of management
Could be a premier course but has not been allowed to be what it should be. Great layout. Practice area horrible shape. Staff unfriendly.
With the hot deal special it was à great day.
This course is very nice and challenging. The view on some holes is fabulous. Hard course for a 18 handicap.
Beautiful views and wildlife.different to other Miami area courses I have played.
Great value green fee on Golfnow.
Quality course in good condition and played in under 4 hours.
WOW is all that needs to be said....
This has to be one of the best courses in South Florida.
It is very challenging even from the forward green tees and I would suggest that you play from a yardage that you feel very comfortable with. The views and wildlife are spectacular and one should look around while on the course and enjoy them.
Spectacular scenery combined with a great layout
From the very first tee, the scenery is immaculate with pristine fairway conditions and greens. There is more water than land on this course but each hole is different. The greens were slow (9.5), but still ran true and the meandering cart paths which take you through mangrove swamps and out across hills and fairways make the experience even more enjoyable than the golf. I would highly recommend coming to Crandon to experience this course. Recently under new management, he even promised that the greens would get faster soon and the pro shop updated further.
A must play...breathtaking views!!
I absolutely love this course. Since this is peak season, the regular green fees are $192, but I was able to get a tee time for $41! You cannot beat this price, especially for this course. The greens were in excellent condition and the fairways were pristine. The best part about playing this course are the views you see of Miami....absolutely breathtaking! Looking forward to playing one more time before my vacation ends.
Great course with a lot of challange,
Good experience golf course. Great course with a lot of challange.
Great course in good condition. Pace of play a little slow
A very good course and challenging. The white tees played longer than the reported yardage. Pace of play was somewhat slow.
Great course with really helpful staff
We had been looking forward to playing Crandon all our holiday and we were not let down.
We started with a club sandwich and drink which was great value and wonderful served by friendly staff; also the members in the clubhouse were friendly and welcoming.
This continued in the shop, with staff who helped me choose the best tees to play from to the buggy master who did not rush us to start.
The course is fantastic layout in excellent condition and most of all on the final hole the view of Miami across the bay - stunning.
We had a great day and would recommend Crandon with any reservation at all.
Exciting test
Very nice course. Some unique holes with great views of the city in the background. Several of the par 3's are spectacular. Since you are on an island, it's quite windy, so add at least one club going into the wind. If you hit a high trajectory shot, better make sure you have plenty of golf balls. The starters are very helpful and keep everything flowing. I will play this course again the next time in Miami! The only downside was the wait at the turn for ANYTHING to eat or drink. The food was excellent, but it just took way to long! Also, with Miami traffic being like the time trials at Indy, I would recommend the Rusty Pelican, which is on the island, for an early dinner and let the rush hour traffic calm down.
Course in very good shape with challenging greens.
Would recommend playing Crandon to everyone visiting Miami and looking for a well priced very good course
Fantastic!
You feel like you are playing on a tropical island, great ocean views
