The Preserve Golf Club at Tara features Ted McAnlis' par 72, championship golf course. Exceptional care was taken to protect and enhance wetlands and other natural features of the course. At just over 7,000 yards, the course offers four sets of tees, allowing players of all skill levels to enjoy a challenging round of golf. Eleven bridges span the many small streams running through the golf course, protecting natural waterfalls and wetland habitats. A unique feature is the 60 foot Mount Matthew, which sits between the driving zones of hole five and six and forms an impressive backdrop for the tee shot. A beautiful clubhouse is open for lunch daily and is perfect for seminars, banquets or receptions.

Worse than bad.

I’ve been golfing this course a while. I like the layout, the length and the challenge. I can’t imagine a course in worst shape. They are planning some TLC in the near future, but in the meantime…the overgrowth in green space, the greens are 30-40% dirt, out of control weed beds. Worse than bad.

Very tough terrible course

Course is as bad as it gets. Dirt for tee offs, very narrow fairways with water surrounding on every single hole. Get ready to lose a lot of balls if you’re a true amateur. Greens are in terrible condition.

Cheap and still not great…

This course is so poorly maintained that the fairways literally blended into the greens. Speaking of greens, don’t even bother reading your putts, it won’t do any good. As the ball is rolling, it will jump in so many different directions; I could probably putt better on gravel. Tread lightly.

Terrible

The cart guy was begging for money and framed us for not giving him tips. The corse was terrible the greens hade mudd all over it. Good price. But over all terrible, terrible, and it sucks.

Absolutely terrible!

There were red ant hills everywhere. Unmowed tee boxes. The greens barely had grass. Unless they are paying you to play this course, I'd avoid!
