Nice layout
Typical old Florida course meandering through the forest. Good greens except for one which should not be in use. Traps in poor condition and overgrown with long weed/grass! Really needs a lot of maintenance.
Needs Maintenance
Love this old Florida course and have played it many times. Most of the greens were very playable but one should have been closed (holes and bare spots all over)
Rough was over a foot deep in most area, and traps have not been trimmed or raked in some time. Shame that course is being neglected!

Course is fun adventure!
Great layout, great staff, greens are very receptive.
We love the layout of the course.
I sent my group there 4 August. We have played here several times and the course was in good condition. This time it was in terrible condition. The tee boxes, and fairways were in rough shape. Very little grass The Greens were mostly fine. My guys told me to take it off my list of courses we play, until I assure them it is in better condition.

Beginning Golfer
It's really not fair for me to review this course after only playing here 1 time, however I have played 4 other courses in Hernando and Lecanto and this courses condition is in much better condition than the other 4 courses. I have also played 2 courses in Connecticut and it is comparable to those courses as far as condition. I look forward to playing here again during the growing season and I will update my review.
Not in Texas
Course is showing up on courses near me. When I click on the course in the map view shows it's right by Vaaler creek golf course in Blanco tx.
Pursuing the finest, one course at a time!
Top notch facility and well administrated.Start times are regulated 10 minutes apart, and you are asked to be at starting point 10 minutes early. Do not expect to start early (I do not believe this applies to members, as we were immediately followed and I feel "pushed" even before we were on the first green). Fairways were well maintained, as were tee boxes and greens. I think even my more refined friends would enjoy this course.
The course was nice this week, it was freshly mowed, some of the greens could still use some TLC

Reservation issue
I made the tee time with Tee Off 2 hours before my tee time. They had no record when I got to the course. Luckily I had the reservation on my phone so they could verify.

Spruce Creek Plays Fun
Great course! Lots of nice 4 par holes! A few challenging greens!! Beautiful surroundings!
Restaurant and bar were closed but we enjoyed golfing there! We’ll be back!
Not worth the 14$ I spent
My wife and I and my young son played there. Since I have 3 golfers in the family I am accustomed to playing courses with bargain prices. I paid 14$ for this course and it was not worth it. The fairways are trash and barely distinguishable from the surrounding rough. The greens are fine though. I do like the layout and it could be a beautiful course, but no it’s not worth paying anymore than you would pay for a bucket of balls.

Overgrown but cheap
The course is very overgrown and in poor condition, but still playable. Not bad for the extremely cheap price though.

Much improved
About a year ago I wrote a scathing and, honestly, sad review of this course. The only thing good was the bar.
Well, the most critical element is remarkably improved; the greens!
Way to go course management! Thanks. It was sad to see a beautiful course go to waste.
Fairways are still cow pastures but, hey, I can move my ball to real grass.
