About
Scotland Yards Golf Club, as its name implies, has a traditional links-style layout that is reminiscent of the traditional links courses of England and Scotland. It offers the experience of classic Scottish golf with the convenient of being only 20 miles north of Tampa. The golf course tumbles across the gently rolling hills of west central Florida. The course plays long and it features wildly undulating greens that require tremendous accuracy. True to its links nature, there is little water but there are plenty of pot bunkers treacherously lurking throughout. The signature hole is the par-5 second. At 554 yards, it is the longest hole on the course and it is only rarely reached in two. The demanding third shot is uphill to a green that is fiercely guarded in front by two massive mounds and pot bunkers.

Unique for FL
Extremely unique terrain for FL and beautiful views, which makes this a must play for any true golfer. Conditions were not great, but pretty decent for this price point. You can also tell that they are actively working on improving it, which is another plus. Tee boxes were pretty good, fairways were not great, but pretty on point if they are going for that Scottish feel. Most greens were good, some had some weed patches, and some were recently overseeded, which made them slow, but overall pretty decent.
My only real complaint is that a course shoul warn you at booking if they're having a large event at the same time. I found myself in the middle of an extremely slow scramble tournament and a 4.5 hour round is just unacceptable for an early Monday morning.
I'll definitely be back though.
Save Your Money
Do not waste your money on this place. The conditions of the course is the worse that I have ever seen. I play on average 4 rounds per week and always love trying new courses but this one was BAD!!!!!!! No water on the course to drink, no cart girl and the course itself is terrible. Greens had brocoli patches all over the place, the fairways were terrible and the rough was even worse. There was not a single thing that I could find that was good. For anyone to give this place a 4 star rating, they must not be true golfers or they have not played any real courses.
Great value and course
My only complaint would be signage especially between 11-12 but my first time there. Course over all was in excellent shape and was fun

Loved it , great conditions. Plenty of room to play. Great Bartender service! Will come back!!
Good course
So I have played about 30 courses over 15yrs while down in Fl and this course reminds me of a course they would have built in the 1800s. Now thats not to say it's bad but it has that old feel to it. The layout is nice. Fairways tight. Greens are small. They were plugged when I played but I can see them rolling nicely once back to normal. Not a course I'd play wkly but it's a good option when you want to play close to home. 9 handicap
