Scotland Yards Golf Club

The course is a great Scottish style links course. I'm not a good golfer at all but I enjoy the course because it makes me feel better than I am. With the open fairways I can usually find my ball and not very often loose one. I've played more beautiful an lush courses, but uusually go thru several balls with them landing in the water hazards or the thick ruff. But that's me, I don't like feeling intimated by a large hazard that I have to try to get the ball straight and high over in front of me. So for the newbie bad golfer Scotland Yards is the best. However, I think it's great for any level player. Yes, I recommend this course.

It had been raining for several days this week. We tried to get 18 holes in between rainstorms. We were only able to get 9 in before the rains returned. We got a rain check. Even with all the rain, the course was not saturated and the water had drained off the course pretty good. Some of the cart paths were a bit washed out, but nothing major. Lunch at the turn hit the spot. Once the rain goes away, I'll be back!

I like this course it is fun and the staff is great. If your looking into finely manicured places this place not for you. The value for the money is spot on. I enjoy the layout with its elevation changes and somewhat open fairways. Give this course a try if you want a stress free round of golf. The staff in the clubhouse are very nice.

Very wide open course, almost no water. Very hilly. Older gas carts, greens where decent. You shouldn't loose to many balls here. Small bar with moderate drink prices , limited menu , hotdogs and such , friendly folks there ,no problem with a cooler on your cart. Very reasonable prices ! Not fancy but inexpensive.

Will not go back as the course is in threadbare condition. I expected much better conditions.

The weather was absolutely perfect for 18 holes to play golf. The course was busy in the morning, but emptied out in the afternoon. We didn't have to worry about being rushed. We had our lunch coupon and used it after the first 9 holes. The course was in great shape! I'm glad I returned to play again!

course wide open, no waiting.Back nine greens better than front but all rolled fairly well. Staff extremely friendly. Can't beat it for the price.

you never know what your going to get here. staff are always nice though!

From the front desk to the starter and the other players on the course I had a very enjoyable round of golf. Fairways where in great shape. Greens rolled very well not to fast but not slow. The pace on the course was excellent,

Scotland Yards has always been a bare bones establishment. There isn't a driving range or cart service on course and some of the cart paths are not paved so if you want very high end features this isn't your place.

But...
If you want a very nice course with limited houses on it, lots of elevation, super friendly staff, budget prices and a challenging layout this is worth it.. Greens were great today, tees and fairways were great, the place is in super shape and for 30$ on a Saturday morning with lunch included, you cant be it. Tremendous turn around in conditions over the last two years.

The greens were well kept and rolled true. Fair ways were in good shape but the rough was spotty with some bare sections.

the course is very forgiving, very open. The only real trouble is if you hit it in the water.

Three Wednesdays in a row we had a 8:45am Tee Time and on all three occasions we were delayed from 35 to 45 minutes every time because of a group shotgun start.

We read the favorable reviews and decided to take a chance. We were not dissapointed. Beautiful course in great shape.

I used to be a member of this course and can't get over the great condition that it is in. Much better than a few years ago.

Kept in good shape but not spectacular. Has many challenging holes .it's a local course so we will play many times

It was busy for a Monday, however, it was a holiday. Our tee time was right on time, not a minute late. The course was a bit soggy on the edges, but the greens were in great condition. Our Golf-Now deal got us lunch, which was a plus. A definite course for beginner golfers! I will be returning!

I'm wondering if someone has purchased this course from previous owners? the greens and surrounding areas were in fantastic shape. can't say as much for the fairways but if there are new owners, the greens are the place to start.

Tried to force me to play with 3 strangers, and I quote "You wanna play or not?", horrible customer service on a public course. Don't waste your time or money on this horrible course!
