Scotland Yards Golf Club
About
Scotland Yards Golf Club, as its name implies, has a traditional links-style layout that is reminiscent of the traditional links courses of England and Scotland. It offers the experience of classic Scottish golf with the convenient of being only 20 miles north of Tampa. The golf course tumbles across the gently rolling hills of west central Florida. The course plays long and it features wildly undulating greens that require tremendous accuracy. True to its links nature, there is little water but there are plenty of pot bunkers treacherously lurking throughout. The signature hole is the par-5 second. At 554 yards, it is the longest hole on the course and it is only rarely reached in two. The demanding third shot is uphill to a green that is fiercely guarded in front by two massive mounds and pot bunkers.

Great value!!
Course was in good condition and the staff was very friendly. Afternoon tee time and round was played in less than 3.5 hours. Good mix of holes. Some challenging and some risk/reward. A good course for all abilities to have a fun time.
off the beaten path
Though it's in the middle of nowhere, this course was quite enjoyable to play. Not really much of a challenge except for a couple of holes, it's a good choice for value and for the beginner/novice player. Overseeding made for some interesting putts and variable speeds.
Decent if you're in the area
Course in the middle of nowhere. Staff was excellent, friendly and a nice change of pace. Course was a bit wet, grass was thin in spots, but overall worthy...especially for $25 on a weekend morning, plus they toss in a hot dog, chips and drink. Take the upgrade, pay $1 get a beer instead of soda!
The course is reasonable for us older players.
For those of us that have back issues, the cart paths are terrible. They are rough causing undo pressure on back problems.
Nice Layout Good Value
They always have a good deal on Golfnow with lunch included and sometimes it includes a sleeve of balls. The staff has always been super friendly and make everyone feel welcomed.Nice elevation on alot of holes and the greens usually roll very well. Only drawbacks that I have is that there is no driving range, and to have the 18th hole a dull, straight away par 3 is a buzz kill. A very good choice, and if you go during the week in the afternoons you can play in about 2 hrs...
Great price for golf, cart and grub! Course is fun and challenging.
Staff at golf counter friendly. Bar waitress, not so much. Fun and challenging course for this beginner/novice female golfer. I liked that I could play at a reasonable pace without feeling pushed to go faster. Vacationing from Vancouver, Washington where the rain makes the greens slow, so it was an adjustment to play on a faster green. (a few more puts than I would have liked). Staying at Lake Jovita, but the cheaper rates and more casual atmosphere made us more interested in this course. Going back for more tomorrow because hubby and I enjoyed the course so much.
Just a bit muddy
We really enjoyed the day. The course has characture. The rains made for a wetter fairway than their norm I suspect. All in all a nice course. Old carts, but they worked. People were friendly and the price was good. Need better restrooms on the course. Felt like Indiana Jones in the outhouse...lots of critters in them....
Very challenging greens
Be sure to be on pace with your puts, these greens are unforgiving just a bit too hard you could be taking a double bogey not a birdie. Great challenge and great value
Excellent Greens
We loved the greens . Best we've played in the area given the price . Interesting and challenging with small undulating greens .
Not flat!
Enjoyed the layout. Greens slow (recovering from winter). Nice elevation changes! I will play here again.
