Mt. Woodson Golf Club

Tee boxes were rough. No sand in traps. Greens bumpy. Balls lost in deep rough. Not a bad deal for $50 hot deal but still a little rough around the edges.

Beautiful Views, super nice bridges. The course layout is awesome.

Mt Woodson did not come highly recommend. My golf coach doesn't like it at all but I wanted to give it another chance. Truth be told it's rather narrow and there are a couple of holes that are extremely difficult to get to but if you play the course a few times you get the hang of it and you start to appreciate the design and the beauty of the area.

My twosome was put together with a visitor from LA and he just couldn't get over how rugged and beautiful the area is.

Bring some extra balls, declair a practice round and go after it. Come back and play for a score.

Course in great condition. Recommend front-tee for beginners, especially the front none. You'll loose a lot of balls if you spray. I didn't play well and lost a half-dozen balls.

Definitely one of the best courses here; very challenging but also very fun!

I'm sitting here trying to decide if I enjoyed my round or if I didn't. The front 9 was brutal. With no driving range (although there was an adequate hitting net to warm up on) I struggled to find my swing on a narrow layout.

The back 9 was a completely different experience. You can start to understand what the designer was trying to achieve and adjust accordingly.

The value was exceptional!

Outside of the VERY rough tee boxes the course was in pretty good shape.

Bring extra balls and DON'T go looking for errant shots. Lots of poison oak.

I always enjoy playing Mt Woodson and this time was no exception. Weather was perfect, sunny/light breeze. Course was generally in v good condition, a couple of spots of GUR and they are renovating the 2nd tee box for Blue/White. Greens were in great condition. Only downside was some of the bunkers were pretty packed and a few of the tee boxes were fairly chewed up. But that will change as they move them back and forward. Pace of play was decent, about 4hr30.

I enjoy Mt Woodson as it’s a course that really rewards great shot placement and you can score well if you put the ball in the right spots.

Staff is always friendly and it’s always a great time playing there.

This was first time playing this highly rated course and I wasn’t disappointed. Green’s immaculate and the whole course was great. Very fun with target golf in play and many challenges. Just be ready to lose some balls

This was challenging and fun course. The views were spectacular. Good time.

I loved every second playing this course. Better then Torry pines for different reasons. Planning to go back soon.

The fairways and greens were in great condition. The tee boxes are pretty chewed up. Every hole is different and the views are fantastic. I would definitely recommend this course. You might be donating some golf balls to the course. We play this course at least a couple of times when we come to the San Diego area.

Great Course with beautiful views, challenging topography, and friendly staff. Definitely recommend!
