Mt. Woodson Golf Club

Challenging but entertaining course. Lots of relief with wonderful views. Target golf. Teed off at 10:40. Front nine played in just 1-1/2 hrs then finished in another 2. Fairway tuna melt was great!

Pleasantly surprised to find this gem. Great, friendly staff.

Well-maintained greens. Beautiful vistas. Only complaint is were the bunker. Very hard sand. We just took our balls out and continued play

We haven’t played this course in a while and were pleasantly surprised. It’s a tough layout and a target shot course. However, the course is in great shape and pace of play was excellent. We especially liked the grill room after the round. Food and service were great. Very good experience and we’ll be back!

This track was carved out of the mountain, hence the name. What immediately stands out is the lack of a proper warm up range. Rather there is a matted area with a net. Not particularly helpful for viewing ball flight. Once on the course you will find exceptionally difficult (we’ll call it challenging) holes protected by rock, shrubs and an incredibly tight targets. Tee times are spaced fairly well and we can only assume it is to provide each group ample opportunity to search for missed shots. This simply is a course for folks who are proficient at hitting it straight and don’t mind riding in a cart. No walking as the travel from green to tee could take 14-20 minutes. Not a track for beginners or even intermediate players. Wasn’t very enjoyable. If you go, plan on two, maybe three sleeves. We’re not likely to return to this venue.
