Mt. Woodson Golf Club is one of San Diego County's most popular courses for a number of reasons, one being the spectacular setting. Nestled in the Ramona Valley, the course is sprawls across a dramatic landscape of towering oak trees, enormous granite boulders, and sparkling blue lakes. Nearly every hole on the golf course provides stunning views of the surrounding mountains and canyons. It is also known for being one of the most challenging and well maintained layouts in the area. The tight fairways and small greens demand accuracy. There are also plenty of interesting elevation changes throughout. The golf course offers true target-style golf that will test the shot-making abilities of even the most experienced players. One of the most unique features of the course is the 450-foot wooden bridge that winds through the treetops.

Bunkers need some attention. Kind of slow round...90 degree rule and par 4 #10 playing as short par 3 due to work on lake/hazard.

Amazing layout

I am 5 handicap, the layout of the course is fantastic but the fairway really need work. Is not the heavy rain which cause this. Greens are very good.

This layout deserve better fairways.

Fun course with beautiful views

The course was in pretty good condition with some work being done on several holes. The greens were in great shape.

You really can't beat this course as far as it being fun and a little challenging with FANTASTIC views.

Nice layout course

Course was good layout but needs work little bit more on fairways and greens. Due to front lazy groups so we kind of getting slow but had a fun to play. Maybe come back in later after settlement the course.

Great Course

I've played here before, but took my son for his first time and he liked it a lot. It is a beautiful course, with amazing views on all holes. It is challenging, but fun. The staff is always super friendly too.

We played early AM, so it was cold, but tolerable. I was only sad that I didn't get to take my son on the bridge between the 2nd and 3rd holes since it was being worked on - since it is spectacular. I can't wait to go back!

Love the course. Hate the pace of play

I love this course but I wish they would hire a Marshall to move people along. There is no reason it should take 4 hours 45 minutes to play here.
