About
Mt. Woodson Golf Club is one of San Diego County's most popular courses for a number of reasons, one being the spectacular setting. Nestled in the Ramona Valley, the course is sprawls across a dramatic landscape of towering oak trees, enormous granite boulders, and sparkling blue lakes. Nearly every hole on the golf course provides stunning views of the surrounding mountains and canyons. It is also known for being one of the most challenging and well maintained layouts in the area. The tight fairways and small greens demand accuracy. There are also plenty of interesting elevation changes throughout. The golf course offers true target-style golf that will test the shot-making abilities of even the most experienced players. One of the most unique features of the course is the 450-foot wooden bridge that winds through the treetops.

First time here
Course was in great condition, especially the fairways. I look forward to playing here again.
It's definitely NOT a walking course, great distance between some of the holes.
Hidden Gem!
An out-of-the-way location and a truly fun and unique layout! Course is in really nice condition. One thing that could improve Mt. Woodson would be the addition of a driving range. The nets are ok, but you really can't judge trajectory. Staff is great, and the small cafe/bar is very nice!

Excellent course conditions. Holes are so fun! Rate of play was slow but the course is very scenic so no issues. Staff is amazing.
Love golfing Mt. Woodson
Started going there about a year ago and have probably been there at least 15 times since. Great value for a great course. Really fun tee shots if you like a good fairway challenge with the driver but still scores pretty nice.
Great condition
Played during vacation second year in a row and course was in excellent condition. Much fun.
Fun track
Fairways were in good condition. It gets hot in the Poway/Ramona area and the grass was green and the only thin spots were near the edges. Greens were in good condition as well and nicely challenging. You don’t need to be long but you do need to hit it straight to the proper area. Sand traps were very thin on sand so was hard to really introl the short shots if you ended up in a green side bunker. The only real draw back is no driving range, but the have a bay with Matt’s and nets to at least loosen up in. The practice green is a postage stamp that doesn’t mirror the course at all so either hit a driving range on you way there or just wing it. Over all a really fun day. I’ll go back for sure. It’s way out there but the drive is worth it.
