About
Mt. Woodson Golf Club is one of San Diego County's most popular courses for a number of reasons, one being the spectacular setting. Nestled in the Ramona Valley, the course is sprawls across a dramatic landscape of towering oak trees, enormous granite boulders, and sparkling blue lakes. Nearly every hole on the golf course provides stunning views of the surrounding mountains and canyons. It is also known for being one of the most challenging and well maintained layouts in the area. The tight fairways and small greens demand accuracy. There are also plenty of interesting elevation changes throughout. The golf course offers true target-style golf that will test the shot-making abilities of even the most experienced players. One of the most unique features of the course is the 450-foot wooden bridge that winds through the treetops.

My favorite course. Great for women golfers! Staff is great especially in restaurant part!!
Can not say enough about staff from cook to desk to starters!!!! Hate to compliment too much it will get too popular!!!
Very friendly staff. Not a long course so u have to play some target golf, but greens and fairways are n excellent shape.
Great Sunday Golf
This course is consistently a great place to play. It's well kept, beautiful scenery. And super friendly staff. I've enjoyed all my outings at Mt. Woodson.
Challenging, but fun
Mount Woodson is a unique course in that it exists on the side of a small mountain. Each hole presents a different chalkenge, making the overall course a lot of fun to play.
Mt. Woodson
Accuracy off the tee #1 priority. Better bring some extra balls just in case. Don't be afraid to lay up, par is better than loosing 2 sleeves of balls!

Well maintained, interesting layout, fun to play if you play well.
Great scenery
I always very much enjoy playing here. The staff has always been very friendly.
The scenery is always wonderful to look at. Extremely peaceful place to play. The course is not extremely long, but does put a premium on keeping the ball in the fairways. If the wind does pick up, your game will definitely be tested.
I highly recommend giving Mount Woodson a visit.
Very challenging, narrow course
Beautiful course, excellent greens. A little on the short side but narrow and challenging. You pay for bad shots. I will be back.
3.5 hour round!
Staff was awesome. The track was fun to play. Definitely bring extra balls if your not solid from 150 and in. We hit driver on 3 holes total ( all the par 5’s) from the middle tees. Greens are in solid condition! Probably running at 12. Fairways where fair and you get rewarded if you put your ball in the correct position of the tee. Next time where in town where coming back for sure.
