Course is not super long but you can hit your driver. Some short holes that provide birdies or doubles. Great value in a beautiful setting

Always a great challenge - especially the visual from the blue tee box - not overly long and since I hadn't played here for years, I couldn't remember the carries.

First, I love Mount Woodson Golf Course… so much so that I drove over an hour to get there. When thinking of golf courses, it is at the top of the list due to the beauty of the course and it’s surroundings. And we can’t forget the Mount Woodson bridge— that alone is amazing! So my husband and I were quite surprised that we were seemingly being followed by the Marshall, even though our pace of play was spot on, keeping up with the group in front of us. The Marshall was with us for the seventh and eighth holes, not only watching us, but later recounting several of our shots to us. At no time did he tell us that we were playing slow or that we needed to pick up the pace. He was just there…watching. My husband and I are proficient golfers. My daughter, who was also playing with us, is also a proficient golfer, getting a birdie on the seventh hole. Maybe the guy was just bored, or just overly friendly, but it left us with a very uncomfortable feeling. We golf a whole lot, and play at many different levels of courses, from the moderately priced to Pebble Beach, and are not accustomed to being followed like that. I think that lessened the experience, more so for my husband. I’ll definitely be back, although I don’t think my husband will be as excited to return.

Really challenging holes. Beautiful scenery. Several holes hit off of cliffs. Target golf. Not overly long. Not walkable; must take a cart.

Haven’t played this course in a while. I forgot that it was a more difficult track from the tee box. Tee boxes were not flat, some were actually on slopes that shaped your ball flight for you which makes it more difficult to hit your shot shape.

Fairways were very nice considering the lack of rain. Greens were very soft, but putting was not rolling true at all. This course needs the greens rolled badly. Play was pretty slow. Not coming back unless it’s cheaper or the greens get better.

Love the course layout and setting. Will be back soon.

Greens in great shape, as was the course. Bunkers look replaced with sand and played perfect. Best I’ve seen Woodson.

I thought this was an excellent course. Not a long course but you have to be accurate. Never needed a driver, just leave it home. Planning on when I'm coming back. There are some dry spots on the course but it is expected where they are located. The greens are in great condition though.
