Mt. Woodson Golf Club

I am a realistic golfer. I know when I play in the afternoon it will be slower. However, there should never be a 5+ hour round when everyone is in a cart and can drive to their ball. The group in front of us had at least 2 holes open and they didn’t give 2 fudges about it. They backed up the course so bad there were 3 groups on a par 5. And the Marshal saw it and did nothing to move them. When we complained at turn to them pro shop, that guy could care less. He suggested we skip a hole. His attitude was terrible and said nothing I can do. This didn’t just ruin it for our group but every group behind us. I really like this course, but show you care a little more about the 20+ people who were stuck on a 20-minute per hole pace. Unreal!

Very pretty course. Unique and challenging especially if you haven’t played it before.

Coming from out of state, i felt the value was pretty good. Greens are glass and the pin placement was extremely challenging, which led to my highest score in a few years. Pace of play was decent. Not a course I would recommend for someone who hasn't played in awhile. Lots of elevation. Don't let the distance fool you, you will need to have your A game to score well here. Also had the Best Hot Dog I've ever had in my life, post round. Neat place overall.

Pro shop staff was rude bordering on hostile. On the course, they were working on the greens with two huge machines. On several holes they didn't even bother to stop working, move or shut off the equipment while we putted. It was ridiculous.

We really enjoyed our round, the greens and fairways were in nice shape and ithe course layout is interesting and a good test of golf in a very scenic setting. San Diego golf can be really slow but the pace of play at this course was good and the marshals pushed anyone who fell behind. We felt like it was a good value for the price which felt was reasonable.The staff is super nice yet attentive. We really enjoyed ourselves and will return again.
