Heritage Harbour Golf Club
About
Heritage Harbour Golf Club (formerly known as Stoneybrook Golf Club at Heritage Harbour) plays through a landscape highlighted by mature, wooded wetland preserves and ponds. The golf course plays through spacious residential corridors, creating strategic risk/reward holes. At approximately 7,100 yards, multiple tees allow the golf course to be enjoyed by players of all abilities. The golfer who succeeds at challenging the hazards and angles will be rewarded with the proper angle for the next shot and an opportunity for a birdie. Needs a lot of work
Course could be great, as lay out is awesome. Fairways are more dirt and mud with little, vary little, grass or turf. A number of greens need work. Carts are excellent with nice GPS. Really unpleasant expierence as it was heavy fog at tee off and for a number of holes. Ranger comes out telling us to pick up the play we are to slow, the cart shows we are 4 minutes behind pace. You have to look for the balls as heavy fog and it was extremely difficult to see them. The ranger was certainly not pleasant or diplomatic in his directions to play faster. We never saw anyone in front of us from initial tee off and no one was pushing us. By the time we finished we were 4 minutes ahead of pace. All in all I was not impressed with condition of the course or pace management by the ranger. *Ranger near end of round did come out and thanked us for picking up the pace, it was easy to keep up the pace after the fog lifted and you could see the balls.*
Don't waste your money
let’s start with a positive first. The greens were actually in good shape. The rest of the course was beat down. Tea boxes are in terrible shape fairways in terrible shape. Bunker is in terrible shape and the worst thing for me was the pace of play. It was so frustrating to wait and wait and wait.
Great value for the money, but still leaves you wanting more
9 hdcp. Start this off by saying there is no way to beat playing 18 holes of golf, with a cart and a drink, for $45 in early April. Carts have GPS (to the pin). Conditions were not awesome. Just about everything but the tee boxes and greens is burnt out. While I don't love the layout of the course, for the right price in the right condition I would play it again.
Need rain course could be much better. Green's are decent.
Beautiful course and clubhouse
Beautiful course with water on almost every hole! Free drink after round and excellent food.
Hire new Pin Setter
Wonderful golf course but the pin setter needs better training. 15 of 18 greyaens were within 10 feet of the back edge. So a) it slowed play down tremendously and b) it made the course about 360 yards longer than the scorecard, given the green sizes, also slowing down play. 100% on the greens staff.
Very friendly course. Enough challenges.
Foregiving course. Mostly wide enough fairways. Greens are in really good condition. Seldom that the pace is too slow. So you finish normally a round in 4 hrs.
Fun day at the course
The layout is fun but reasonably challenging. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the Clubhouse is very nice. The driving range is excellent Course maintenance could be better but given the extended drought in the area it was pretty good. The greens were obviously cut that day pretty fast compared to other courses in the area. Overall it was a fun round and I would go back.
Renovation Disaster
The new holes created for the proposed development suck!l
Fairways are thin
Greens were fantastic
NICE
decent fairways and tee boxes. great greens, fast and challenging. a little slow, but that's Florida golf this time of year
Due to the worst winter since the late 1800's and worst drought in 25yrs didn't have much grass in the fairways. Green's were really hard difficult to keep balls on the Green's. Cart and starter very friendly also the staff working in the Clubhouse 5 Star's. The City has restrictions on watering the course could be a lot better hopefully rain will be coming soon.
greens excellent
greens excellent --- - some of the remainder a little sketchy. not a bad (high season) 70.00 course
Unparalleled graciousness!
We booked Heritage Harbor golf course on Golf Now thinking it was in Bradenton, FL but when we got to Heritage Harbour (note the spelling of Harbour) we found out that we had actually booked the course in Lutz, FL near Tampa! What could have been a bad day was turned around 180 degrees by the graciousness of EVERYONE we encountered at Heritage Harbour. The gentleman in the clubhouse called the starter and asked him to squeeze us in somewhere and when we got to the starter he told us to go off the back nine and he'd look for us when we came off of the turn. When we finished the back nine the same starter got us right off the front to complete the round. These people went out of their way to make our day as pleasant as possible and we can't thank them enough for a truly great experience. The greens and fairways at this course are in great shape and the greens roll better than any course I have played since I've been here and I play twice a week from January through March.
I know this is long winded but do yourself a favor and experience first hand the truly great people at this course. The course is in great shape and the people you will encounter are the BEST!!!
Nice track with great greens
Overall nice place to play and would play it again.Lots of dead spots in fairways and around the greens caused very tight lies and made it difficult to chip or pitch.Pace was good and everyone there did a great job.

Dear Golfer,
Thanks for your review. We fully understand that Winter turf conditions can change dramatically when we have cold snaps and frost. Typical Bermuda Golf Course Turfgrass will turn off color yellow and rough can actually brown out with frost burn. This time of year, we actually only mow fairways about twice a month, they just don’t grow much at all from December thru February. Cart traffic from increased seasonal play factors in as well and keeps the turf compacted thus creating tighter lies. Fluffy fairway lies only exist where ryegrass overseed has been applied. We applied ryegrass overseed on Par 3 tee boxes and several weak turf green surrounds in November/December and those areas are greening up nicely to provide better conditions in the coming months.
Our focus during this time of the year is keeping the green rolling smooth and fast. With the notable exception on a few greens that had some heat stress in November, the green are rolling very true and fast. Customers have been extremely happy with the greens and surrounds. Our bunkers, yes they need total rebuilds to make them more playable. The course is reaching the 20 year old stage and we do have plans in the works for a suitable renovation in 2021 or 2022, the timing depends on our villa and hotel development project.
All in all, we know we have work to do, I assure you the list of work to be done never gets shorter, only longer. Of course we know we have to earn your business and we work hard to provide great customer service in the clubhouse grill, back patio halfway house, pro shop and cart staff experience.
Thank you, HHGC Mgmt
