Waterlefe Golf & River Club is built along a particularly beautiful section of the Manatee River, complete with wide expanses of pristine marshes and pleasant coves. Don't be surprised if on the 15th tee you spot a family of manatees poking noses up for a breath of air. The golf course was designed with a great deal of time, effort and expense going toward protecting and resorting the natural environment that gives the course it unique character. The gently sloped greens with the newest Tifteagle Bermuda offer the ultimate in putting. Challenging course
We were referred here from a friend. It was a well maintained course with very friendly staff. Pace of play was excellent. Don’t get comfortable with the front 9. The back 9 is a killer. Really enjoyed it, however.
Waterlefe was fun!
I liked the front 9 and loved the back 9. The back 9 has water on both sides of most of the holes, however there is plenty playable room. I thought it was fun challenge.
Clubhouse just built, Pro Shop temp. Location makes amenities rating difficult. Very good experience overall.
Awesome Course!!!
So beautiful and challenging! There were scenic views on every hole. Every hole was unique and challenging. The course was in excellent condition. Driving range was so cool and the staff was so friendly. Totally worth the money.
Another interesting course
Lots of water but appropriate sized landing areas...be smart! Greens pretty true, mid speed. Carts with course layout, yardage, etc on screen, which is helpful. I liked this course alot. The back nine seems to be a bit toughrr.
Really nice course
We enjoyed the course very much. Greens, fairways, and tee boxes were all in excellent condition. Staff was helpful and friendly.
Great course to play
I’ve played the course about a month ago. As always the staff are great and accommodating, the course was in great shape. The pace was great.
I would play it more often if it wasn’t so expensive. It’s a great test of your game.

Nice track
Course is good- you’ll enjoy the round. Some nice water views. Fairways & greens good. Some neat holes. New restaurant facility was very nice. Good course for area. Nice pace of play - had Sat 1230 tee time- done 4.5 hr
Perfect golf course
Challenging layout in great shape. The morning bag guys and the staff at the bar and kitchen were awesome!
Very nice course
I try to play this course once a year and really enjoy it. Working on the pro shop. The dining area is beautiful well laid out and plenty of tv’s. Great food also
Great golf course, some construction
Waterlefe was great again this time. I was excited to come back and see this course again. Most of the course is immersed in natural settings and nice houses in the community. Unfortunately, several of the holes now have a road and construction equipment as whole groves of trees were destroyed. Nice floating driving range and chipping area. Nice new clubhouse. Very scenic stretch of holes in the middle of the round.
Very Pleased
Nice. Everything I was hoping for. First time playing Waterlefe and I'm so glad I did. What a difference compared to these "other" courses that are charging a similar price for nowhere near as nice of a course. Got a great price from GolfNow and will CERTAINLY go back again before heading back to the Midwest.
