Inspired by the backdrop of the Manatee River, Ted McAnlis has created the ultimate golf experience with the perfect combination of beauty and challenge. Waterlefe Golf & River Club is built along a particularly beautiful section of the Manatee River, complete with wide expanses of pristine marshes and pleasant coves. Don't be surprised if on the 15th tee you spot a family of manatees poking noses up for a breath of air. The golf course was designed with a great deal of time, effort and expense going toward protecting and resorting the natural environment that gives the course it unique character. The gently sloped greens with the newest Tifteagle Bermuda offer the ultimate in putting. Great course in great condition. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Ice and water on the course is always a nice addition. Free range balls on an aqua range beforehand. Course was a little over an hour away, but definitely worth it. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be playing here again.

Great Track

Everything about the course generally exceeded my expectations. Compared to other courses in the area this is among best. If you are a walker the back nine Is a tough walk. I would definitely recommend this course for It’s structure, themes and overall challenging features. There is a good amount Of water and generally clubbing down or an easy swing is rewarded on many shots.

Really Good Gulf Coast Course

Waterlefe is a real hidden gem on the Gulf Coast and a really fun and beautifully laid out course. The greens had just been punched 2 weeks before, but other than that the fairways were in fantastic shape, carts were excellent and the golf was a lot of fun. Lots of water hazards expected, but that is part of the great layout.

Love this course. I was aware that the greens were aerated, but the amount of sand used made them virtually unplayable. The rest of the course was great per usual.
