Citrus National Golf Club

I play this course a lot because it’s in my neighborhood and it’s become one of my favorite places to play. Greens and fairways are in good shape and the Golfnow deal for under $20 buck was just icing on the cake. Excellent staff and the new owners have made many improvements, be back next week!

Overall, I enjoyed my experience. The one thing, I thought could have been better was the overall condition of the fairways and rough. The fairways were very dry and with little turf. I wonder if the time of year had anything to do with the conditions.

We saw worker's most of the round doing maintenance and maybe improvements, which it needs more improvements than anything, the fairways were light brown, the greens and tees were greenish brown. We were expecting something similar to the picture associated with the TeeOff website. This course is similar to Inverness CC with a sandy base and the only time, we'll play there is when GroupGolfer offers it for $19 to $22. We're from MI and this past summer 2 groups (Tu & Th 45+ golfers) of mostly seniors played at least 10 courses that were 5 to10 times in better shape and the price range was $12 to $20 for an 18H w/cart round. The $12 rounds were at 3 different muni's and they were all at least in the 8x's better shape category. Citrus has a nice layout but right now it doesn't deserve to be using National in its name! We won't play here again until the advertising picture actually matches the course conditions!!!

Always enjoy playing here.Course layout for the most part is interesting and challenging.Staff is friendly and helpful.Just wish you folks could get some of the fairways back in shape., otherwise love golfing here.

This course and Sugarmill are convenient and nice to play but I recently paid $63 at Sugarmill and I understand they are raising prices again in January. They are not getting the play they should be with World Woods closed because they are pricing themselves out of the market. They should be in $35 to $50 range. We play weekly but guys will go elsewhere if rates increase again.

Pace of play was very slow due to it being Friday afternoon….many just out to have fun with actual golf secondary…lots of “first time golfers” it seemed. However, the course is a fun layout, staff are friendly, warmup range balls included…. All at a reasonable price. I will definately return.

under new ownership everything about this course is improving !!!! In a yr or two it will be one of the best around Well worth our drive from Lakeland

If the hot dogs at turn were actually cooked and didn’t take 30 minutes this course would get full marks … very nice layout and super staff
