About
Fountains Country Club offers three different 18-hole championship courses, the West, North, and South. The golf courses sprawl across 865 lushly landscaped acres that are part of a gated golf community. All of the courses were designed in the 1970s by the team of Robert Von Hagge and Bruce Devlin. Water hazards come into play several times throughout the course and there are also strategically placed bunkers along the greensides. The golf course has some mild undulations but the terrain is mostly flat. All of the courses are player-friendly and diverse enough to accommodate a range of skill levels but conveniently, there are also five different sets of tees. In addition to the golf courses, Fountains boasts well conditioned practice facilities including putting greens, pitching areas, bunkers, and an expansive driving range.

A Fountain of Fun
This is a great course. Member for a day privileges got me free range balls and a golf cart. The starter was friendly even though we were backed up - a very busy Sunday. The course layout is challenging but fair. Greens/fairways/bunkers all in excellent shape. Some tee boxes could use a little help. Carts were clean and worked well - although they lacked GPS. Bathrooms, water and ball cleaners on the course. Fully stocked pro shop. Simple - if you can find a tee time to this normally private club - grab it and enjoy.

Fast Greens
Played the West . Course was in good shape with decent fairways and fast healthy greens. The driving range (irons only ) and putting green was a nice addition. Starter was friendly. The cart return at end of round was not staffed.
The course is kept well
The course is in good condition.Greens are fast and hard.. The pace of play was little slow.Overall excellent.
Horrible pace of olay
Play three times first two times. Didn't tee off until 50 minutes after my tee time. Waited every shot. Last time. Teed off my tee time. Teed off pole number one. Finally finished hole nine after 2 hours and 40 minutes. Don't play this course
terrible experience
booked a 1:34 tee time... take our receipts to the starter who tells us we'll probably get out closer to 2... at 2 we report back to the starter and he calls the 1:13 group to the first tee... at this point we would be able to get all 18 in before dark especially if this was any indication of what pace of play would be... we decide to go back to the pro shop to get a refund... lots of angry players in line for a refund and lots of angry members complaining about non members ruining course availability... but the course did look great...
Spectacular Greens…
What an opener to our golf trip. Course is in spectacular shape; especially the greens. They were unblemished, fast and pure. Kudos to the maintenance crew 👏🏽👏🏽.
Very slow on the front but we were behind an intercourse tournament.
Received range balls with our round and the practice area is very well maintained. I fortunately only mid to short irons allowed.
Great shape, horrible pace, overbooked
The course was in terrific shape. The greens were fast and smooth. The course was overbooked and the pace of play was the worst I've experienced. We teed off 20 minutes late because of the overbooked tee times and we're only able to get in 16 holes.
Bargain
Hot deal with a $10 of reward for $53. This time of year in SoFl you can’t play a decent course for under $100. Greens were fast and in really good condition. New carts also. Great hot deal.
