About
The Poinciana Golf Club has recently re-opened under NEW MANAGEMENT and has done extensive renovations to the golf course including NEW GREENS.
Located in western Lake Worth, Poinciana Country Club is one of several great short courses that south Florida has to offer. At just over 4,000 yards, it is a quick and challenging test of your target golf skills. The greens are small with large breaks and there are swaying palms lining the fairways. The layout consists of par 3s that range from 103 to 172 yards and par 4s that are approximately 300 yards. There are strategically placed hazards throughout the golf course that offer good short game practice for more advanced players. Poinciana Country Club can conveniently be played in less than four hours. The golf course is still gentle enough for beginners though. It is popular amongst locals but still a well kept secret from the rest of south Florida.

Well kept greens, challenging layout
Greens were small, in great shape, and enjoyable to play. Fairways patchy, need some work and sandy in a fair amount of areas. Layout was challenging despite 11 par 3s. Felt much better than an executive course and enough par 4s and 5s to feel you got your work in gripping and ripping the driver. Pretty darn good value too. Get what you pay for. Not a remarkable well kept beauty like some of the public country clubs, but not nearly the high fees in season. Good for getting out and playing to work on your game but not somewhere to reserve if you are looking for a high quality course Florida is known for. You will pay much more for that.
Amazing experience
We were two first time at Ponciana. The experience was amazing, the staff so friendly. The course was amazing, the greens are fast. The fairways were not 100% but they are working on that and soon will look amazing. For the price worth 100%. Thank you! We will come back soon!
Great place to play
Have not played this course in recent years, however, being a snowbird from MA , decided to give it a shot, and I was very satisfied with all course conditions and also found staff very pleasant and accommodating. Looking forward to returning to this course. Highly recommended
Fun
Wasn’t easy. Loved all the par 3s. The guys loved it. Played well. Would definitely go there again.
Fair Course for Good Value
This course is nothing fancy, though it does have a nice layout. Grass was sparse on the fairways, a couple of the greens had bald spots, and there is really no rough to speak of. I also didn't know when booking that it is a Par 64 course - there are 11 par 3's; 4 par 4's; and 3 par 5s, so the course is much shorter that the average 18-hole course (4,561 yards from the blues)..
Had Fun
Had fun not bad for two blind guys who haven't played for two years.
