Poinciana Country Club

About
The Poinciana Golf Club has recently re-opened under NEW MANAGEMENT and has done extensive renovations to the golf course including NEW GREENS.
Located in western Lake Worth, Poinciana Country Club is one of several great short courses that south Florida has to offer. At just over 4,000 yards, it is a quick and challenging test of your target golf skills. The greens are small with large breaks and there are swaying palms lining the fairways. The layout consists of par 3s that range from 103 to 172 yards and par 4s that are approximately 300 yards. There are strategically placed hazards throughout the golf course that offer good short game practice for more advanced players. Poinciana Country Club can conveniently be played in less than four hours. The golf course is still gentle enough for beginners though. It is popular amongst locals but still a well kept secret from the rest of south Florida.

Fun spot
Interesting layout with par 3s and 5s with a couple of 4s sprinkled in. Course was in really good shape with the exception of a few crab grass circles around some of the greens. Everyone was SUPER nice and my daughter and I had a blast.
Great time
Was a single got linked with three great people for a great round. Love this course alway great practice for my short game.
Great course for anyone!
After having oury tee time taken out from underneath us at my former home course, we hopped in the car and hit Golf Now.
Up comes Poinciana, and away we go!
This course has an interesting layout, with obvious use of every square foot of land.
I have a 7 year old who has just picked up the game, and the shorter par 3 holes made him feel right at home.
Being a typical Florida afternoon, after the 9th hole, we waited out the rain at Mel's Way with a great lunch. ( The footlong hot dog is in fact an entire foot long) of burgers and fries.
After the rain cleared, we finished up the back 9 fat and happy.
Billy at the stand was kind, courteous, and outright friendly to my son, which meant a LOT to me.
Courses who turn their noses up at kids are the courses that will be parking lots in 20 years. Kids are the future, not only of the game of golf, but of the world.
Once more for the people in back with radar driving ranges, and pro shop staff with eleteism issues - Courses who turn their noses up at kids are the courses that will be parking lots in 20 years. Catch my drift??
Poinciana, we will see you soon, and thanks for a fantastic experience !
Poinciana
Some rain has helped immensely. Fairways were green and lush as were the tee boxes and greens.
Just wish they would consider a course ranger on the weekends as some people who play have no regard for rules or pace of play
Short (Executive) Course
The course is a Par 64 so it’s short.
Fairways and rough were mostly weeds unfortunately.
Greens were well maintained but small.
For the price, the course was fine.
And with the heat wave we’ve been having, shorter may not be a bad thing!
My go-to
This place is one of my favorites! Always a good time, has its challenges and I love to bring my son with me to play as well. He is 4 and loves the different animals you see around. Good place!
