Poinciana Country Club
About
The Poinciana Golf Club has recently re-opened under NEW MANAGEMENT and has done extensive renovations to the golf course including NEW GREENS.
Located in western Lake Worth, Poinciana Country Club is one of several great short courses that south Florida has to offer. At just over 4,000 yards, it is a quick and challenging test of your target golf skills. The greens are small with large breaks and there are swaying palms lining the fairways. The layout consists of par 3s that range from 103 to 172 yards and par 4s that are approximately 300 yards. There are strategically placed hazards throughout the golf course that offer good short game practice for more advanced players. Poinciana Country Club can conveniently be played in less than four hours. The golf course is still gentle enough for beginners though. It is popular amongst locals but still a well kept secret from the rest of south Florida.

First round in Florida
I was looking for a reasonable priced round to try and dial in distances and thought a course with many par threes and three par 5’s and par 4’s would work. The staff was very friendly. The bunkers were bad except on the 18th. Greens were smooth.
Great Course/Quick Play
Course is in good shape. Greens are fantastic. Over play was great, recommend this course if you are looking to get in a quick round.
Skinny and Short but nice where it counts
Played 18 holes today with my brother. We are both around a 20 handicap. Weekend warriors if you will. Got paired up with a similar group of guys. We all had a a great time. 6 par 3’s on the front 9, the back was about the same. They rope in a couple of par 5’s to keep it interesting (and probably to keep it from being an executive course). Greens were in good shape, but small. Fairways were skinny. Will play there again.
Value for the money
The course is good value for the cost. Less than 50 dollars after 1pm is worth paying. Greens good. Fairways ok for the most part. Some tee ground area need work
Not a regular course
Got the the course and everything looked fine u til you look at the score card and its not a full course 10 of 18 holes are par 3s and it didn’t say that anywhere before playing
Would play here again👍
Fairways rough in a few places..
Greens are well kept and true...
Very nice variety of holes for executive play
Fun spot
Interesting layout with par 3s and 5s with a couple of 4s sprinkled in. Course was in really good shape with the exception of a few crab grass circles around some of the greens. Everyone was SUPER nice and my daughter and I had a blast.
Great time
Was a single got linked with three great people for a great round. Love this course alway great practice for my short game.
Great course for anyone!
After having oury tee time taken out from underneath us at my former home course, we hopped in the car and hit Golf Now.
Up comes Poinciana, and away we go!
This course has an interesting layout, with obvious use of every square foot of land.
I have a 7 year old who has just picked up the game, and the shorter par 3 holes made him feel right at home.
Being a typical Florida afternoon, after the 9th hole, we waited out the rain at Mel's Way with a great lunch. ( The footlong hot dog is in fact an entire foot long) of burgers and fries.
After the rain cleared, we finished up the back 9 fat and happy.
Billy at the stand was kind, courteous, and outright friendly to my son, which meant a LOT to me.
Courses who turn their noses up at kids are the courses that will be parking lots in 20 years. Kids are the future, not only of the game of golf, but of the world.
Once more for the people in back with radar driving ranges, and pro shop staff with eleteism issues - Courses who turn their noses up at kids are the courses that will be parking lots in 20 years. Catch my drift??
Poinciana, we will see you soon, and thanks for a fantastic experience !
Poinciana
Some rain has helped immensely. Fairways were green and lush as were the tee boxes and greens.
Just wish they would consider a course ranger on the weekends as some people who play have no regard for rules or pace of play
On GolfNow under Tee Details it states 4,500-yards. And golf course website has photo of actual scorecard.
