South Course at Big Cypress Golf & Country Club

Because it is somewhat distant from Orlando, not a lot of people know about this course. But it is a great golf course. The conditions are very good, from the plush fairways to the soft, receptive greens. We always enjoy playing at Big Cypress.

Conditions are currently excellent, especially the greens. Layout is challenging but fair. The staff treated our group well, and we would highly recommend this course to anyone in the area.

I have been told about this course being a "hidden gem" in central Florida. It was a great layout, very good conditions, and challenging. However, I was told by the starter that GolfNow customers "mess-up" the scheduling of tee times. I had to wait almost 30 minutes to tee off because so-called "members" wanted to play with themselves, not GolfNow customers. With all that being said, not worth the drive from Orlando to be insulted and to wait while others took my tee time.

The tee boxes/ cartpaths/ and fairways were in very nice shape. The greens held your iron shots very well. They putted fast and true. Beautiful greens. The proshop people and starter were wonderful. We'll definitely be back.

Second time playing it. They offer limited times for guests so I jump at the chance to play it for less than $40. The greens are the best in the area. They are fast, and hold a well struck shot. The tees and fairways were also very good. The layout is full of variety with many very generous landing areas and others where it’s narrow.

Great value for money, great pace, great condition especially greens, friendly staff - will return!

Interesting track. Dog legs and water. Location was a bit off the beaten path, but the residents there are completely happy and for a good reason. Check in was very friendly. Same with starter who paired me up with two resident members- Danny and Craiig. They showed me the way around with their great local knowledge, and made it a fun round. They do not overseed the fairways, although some of the fairway had remained green even after the recent cold and frost. Greens were very true- probably best I've played in the south Orlando area.

This course is awesome, really good conditions. greens are smooth and speedy. Played from the back tees and you need your "A" to put up a good score, especially if it's for first time there. Can't wait to take on this course after having been around it once before. Very friendly staff!

Staff ferry friendly and professional. Greens excellent fairways well taken care of.

Pace of play was perfect a group of two in front of us a group of two behind. They could have paired into 4 somes but it wasn’t a problem. Greens ran like glass with little to no break. Fairways were beautiful rough was short but challenging. Wildlife was to the max..Gators,Deer,Turkeys etc… always a great time. A professional schalamar creek on steroids if you can get a hot deal take advantage if its a special occasion the full 60 is worth it. Hit em good and have fun!

Wow what a great course. I have been in the area for 17 days and golfed every day at least 18 holes and 36 holes on 4 of those days. This course was an absolute treat. It was equal to some of the great courses in the area. I would play this again for sure.

This course does not honor golf now's tee times at 1 00 if they can get outsides to pay at the counter. They give them a tee time for 12:52 and there may be three groups given that tee time pushing golf now's tee time to 1:30 or later!

Very enjoyable course! Beautifully designed and definitely challenging. Great pace of play. Absolutely looking forward to playing again while in the area.

Course in great condition. Nice greens rolling 10 plus...
